My brother lives around the corner and we haven't even spoke since partner and I had our baby three weeks ago.

Actually I fib, I texted him to ask if there's fast travel in Spider-Man cause seriously, that s**t didn't unlock til like 30% through it and I was thinking bugger me I ain't playing this game through all the way if I have to swing everywhere.

What is everyone's thoughts on the My Health Record?

Mixed m8 i have been battling leukaemia the past 3yrs and have seen that many docs and specialist its not funny.
The worst part is telling my whole story over and over again so should help with that but on the flip side im a very private person me and my wife aren't even on facebook and were not that old lol.
So im not sure which way to go glad we have extra time to think about it what's your thoughts?

i understand your situation, but i'm not sure the proposed system is actually going to alleviate those issues. obviously that's kind of the intention, but given the feds general record as being hopelessly incompetent with anything IT related, i can't see it working well.

also docs in general are dealing with new patients constantly and i think they probably don't get the time to go through previous medical records as thoroughly as maybe they could? my partner also has chronic issues and is forever telling the whole story over, even though they have the records. i think the docs probably appreciate hearing it from the horses mouth so to speak

Think your probly right m8 and my file is bloody huge easier just to tell what they need to know.

trust us to manage an online database of your health records, when we can't manage an online census, an online tax return system, or even the opt out system itself when more than 3 people log on at once

I find it sad when siblings aren't that keen on each other. All that time together when growing up for that outcome seems such a waste. Happens often though.

This comment is not a reflection on you, it's just something I think about and find sad. Same with not liking ones parents or vice versa.

I hardly ever talk with my younger brother. We have nothing in common. He is a multi, multi millionaire businessman in Adelaide, earning enough money each year to run a small country! We also have very different values, so virtually never communicate. I might catch up with him for a stilted coffee whenever we visit Adelaide, but that's about it.

I have more in common with my older brother. We both trade the stock market, and are both mad Port supporters, so we always communicate regularly on those two fronts.

It is sad, but it is what it is!

Got 3 younger siblings
My brother and I pretty close. Talk/msg alot (but we play online games together as well)

1 sister get along alright her husband and I are pretty good mates... go camping/4wdring together.

Youngest sister is a dick at 30 years old still acts like a teenager and if she's not carefull I'll put her head through a brick wall. But that's another story.
