She’d be fine with that, I tried that place when I first arrived, i didn’t know fish and chips could taste so bad before then.

Hill of grace is good, a few fish options there if you want upmarket. Otherwise Cardone's at Glenelg or Sammys on the Marina at Glenelg.

Cheers, hate Glenelg, but that seems to be where the seafood restaurants are. Another reason to avoid the place usually .

Sammys at the Marina has a great view and good seafood. Very pricey for what it is, but you'll get good brownie points for going there. Its a beautiful spot.

If you want just good fish n chips to take down the beach then come to Sotos in Semaphore, or Stunned Mullet in Henley Beach.
