In France, it's legal to have sex with someone once they've turned 15.

He still groomed and then r*ped a 15 year old girl. He could easily have been sleeping with her before she turned 15, as other celebrities regularly get away with - of course the age of consent in other countries isn’t quite as despicable.

There is no way for a teenage girl to give consent to an adult in a clear position of power. There is literally zero way to prove that they have given consent.

The law is not designed to protect teenage girls. And in these cases it’s being used to actually protect the rapist by providing plausible deniability, which the victim willingly provides.

I understand that most people don’t have any understanding about consent, but ignorance isn’t an excuse for defending the rape of teenagers by celebrities who face zero consequences for their actions.

Consent is a complicated thing, but there is at least one simple rule everyone can follow:

If YOU are in a position of direct authority/power over someone, there is no way for YOU to confirm beyond doubt that they are willingly consenting.

Examples of this include:
- Teachers and their students
- Bosses and their employees
- Police and people they are arresting or could arrest
- Directors and actors or potential actors
- Adults and teenagers

Here’s also a short video explaining some basics of consent for anyone who is interested in learning how to not rape.



Obviously its up to people in power how willing they are to risk hurting someone thru non-consensual sex (raping them), but unfortunately for vulnerable people everywhere those in power often give exactly zero ****s unless they get caught, and even then it doesn’t matter most of the time (See Louis CK, Trump, Kavanaugh, Busson, Michael Jackson and honestly countless others).
