The GOT ending was absolute trash as it didn't follow the rules of its own making. It is a little like a soccer game when someone decides to just pick the ball up and run, yes you CAN do that if you like as it's all made up, but it's really **** to do so.

It's generally accepted that the death toll from the blast or acute radiation syndrome is 31. The long term health effects have been estimated between 4,000 premature deaths - 93,000 adverse effects depending on the source. Chernobyl is unique because the operators intentionally created uncontrolled reaction conditions against testing protocols. They literally tried to blow it up and succeeded. It's a Gen II reactor and not one I'm a proponent off. Gen II reactors should be decomissioned and replaced with Gen III.

So yes it is misleading.

The headline is 31, but the lowest estimate is actually 4,000 with some estimates from Russia going up to 30,000.

Seriously, they were simulating a power failure where the emergency safety and power-regulating systems were turned off, being that it was a poorly designed reactor and not the best people running it, s**t hit the fan very quickly.
