They're doing that because Axl encouraged them to do it during his stint with the band. Axl was the one who wanted to sing Riff Raff and Touch Too Much and all that stuff, and it just stayed that way.

But I shan't stand by and have the good name of Sink The Pink besmirched.

Axl might have triggered it however I reckon they wanna go out playing their best material & the Bon era just has more classics.
