Use to love odi but I don't care anymore , no idea why , use to love the tri series
They're too farkin long. No one's got time to watch 10 hours of cricket where the middle overs are usually a snooze fest anyway

They probably should've experimented with two innings of 25 overs per side when ODI's were first getting on the nose. They're too farkin long. No one's got time to watch 10 hours of cricket where the middle overs are usually a snooze fest anyway
It’s because it’s been flooded, there’s T20 everywhere and now you have the woman’s T20 also.Use to love odi but I don't care anymore , no idea why , use to love the tri series
You can borrow them from the west lakes library. I'd imagine they are all out for Christmas already thoughWon't arrive till tomorrow now![]()

They went the AFL route of more and more rule changes to make it higher scoring. If they undid most of those and brought it back to it's 80's - early 2010's peak, where it was a real battle between bat and ball it'd be much better. Obviously bat still is more advantaged then test cricket, but it's up their with AFLx, trying to turn it into a longer form 20/20.Remember when ODI's were good
Cricket Australia did for the Domestic 50 over Cup in 2010/11.They probably should've experimented with two innings of 25 overs per side when ODI's were first getting on the nose.
I think it has been trialed at lower levels.
The Gold Standard was when Tests were played across the whole summer, with ODI matches interspersed throughout. Test Cricket starting end of November/early December and ending early FebruaryIt’s because it’s been flooded, there’s T20 everywhere and now you have the woman’s T20 also.
Basically I’m the same as you. The ODI’s with the visiting test teams playing after the test matches seemed to blend in well now there’s so much of everybody being involved in some form of reduced over games. It’s become boring and I’ve stopped watching myself also.
Only international t20s should be the world cupYea it seems the only time people are up for ODI's now is when the World Cup comes around, it's weird when you have a sport with three formats. I wouldn't even have International T20's just leave it for the BBL's & IPL's etc. etc. who on earth cares who won the last T20 World Cup? the waters are so muddy.
It doesn't help newer players (newer being 20 odd years now), that the shift to more and more on Pay-TV and then other platforms coincided with the end of Australia's era of dominance in both Test's and consecutive World cups, that likely will never be equalled by any country. That, also like the AFL, Cricket Australia tries to stomp out any hint of personalities from players. This reminds me of how gilly/Ponting and even hussey who caught the back end of their careers are confused about why their cricket team is seen by loved moreso than others and it's pretty simple
That was the last era where bugger all cricket was hidden by a paywall
Less than 2 years ago Australia were reigning in champs in tests, ODIs and T20s all at the same timeIt doesn't help newer players (newer being 20 odd years now), that the shift to more and more on Pay-TV and then other platforms coincided with the end of Australia's era of dominance in both Test's and consecutive World cups, that likely will never be equalled by any country. Insolvent firm run by ex-AFL star wipes millions in debt via 'legal phoenixing'
A digital marketing agency run by a former AFL star has wiped its millions in debt through an insolvency process, only to open under a new ABN days later. Former staff were left without a job and almost $450,000 in unpaid entitlements, but it's within the bounds of the law and leaves taxpayers...www.abc.net.au
What a scumbag.
This is far more common than people realise too.
There’s one Adelaide business man who did this repeatedly in the hospitality industry. I suspect it’s very common there.
An Adelaide jeweller my partner worked for did this (a while after she left)
Decades ago I was ripped off by a mechanic shop and after a year of chasing them up I found out the owner had an list of former businesses too long to even name , each with incredibly long lists of reports against them to the accc and debts (a fact I was only told because of personal connections inside government departments who connected me to the right people who told me stuff that otherwise they couldn’t have told me)
My dads former employer did this
It’s absolutely foul. I wish the absolute worst to the scum that do this.

Yep you’re spot on there, as long as you’re not cheating the tax department, you’d get less for murder.Corporate crime you can get away with all sorts without punishment. But if you scan those expensive capsicums as brown onions woolies has got their CCTV on you M8 straight to jail
Yeah, it's the only format that lends itself to a World Cup style tournament. T20 is too random and test cricket is too impossible.ODI would cup is my favourite cricket tournament comfortably.
I think the WTC is a good thing it just needs to be a three match series.Yeah, it's the only format that lends itself to a World Cup style tournament. T20 is too random and test cricket is too impossible.
