I wish i had time to do the ha giang when I was there but if you want to do a bike trip in a day the hai van pass was really nice. You can rent a bike in hoi an (highly recommend hoi an btw) and ride and drop it off in hue or vice versa. or ride on some fella's back if you're into that. hanoi is cool, carries a lot of historic charm. ho chi minh a bit more of a piss up. dalat if you want a cool climate break. nha trang is basically russian bali. go nuts eating at local spots and at street food vendors
