Bogle/Chandler murders were in Sydney...

...although there is now speculation as to whether they were actually murdered or just gassed from gasses coming from the river beside where they were having their little...er um... get together;)

It was 1963, they didn't know too much about natural gasses back then.

Said, I should have kept the Gazettes!.. I'LL remember the Tassi one about 2am and promptly forget again:(

BTW, I'm not using google.

yep, I just went back and did some reading.

He was definitely a lawyer. I think I got the architect thing from the design of the home.

It is 30+ years ago now and I was pretty young back then.

Has that house been bulldozed? I live in Melbourne now but every time I am in Adelaide driving down Greenhill Road I can never find the house. Weird looking house it was.

Another story. ..more plausible. ..Crime researcher Alan Whitaker has written a new book

THE Satin man: uncovering mystery of the Beaumont children

A prominent businessman (dead 10 years) has been named.

I can't do links on my phone ... will do later.

Mid July ch9 ACA Story. ...
Blog on book review...

I read the book, alot of circumstantial evidence pointing towards the satin man but nothing concrete. The thing that made me go wow the most in that book was a book in the satin man's house which may have been the book the eldest Beaumont daughter had with her at the beach the day she went missing.

That weird looking house ( where the lawyer's body was found in the freezer ) was bulldozed sometime in the mid 2000's.
I started working on Fullarton rd in late 2001, and it was definitely still standing then, I drove past it everyday.

Got bulldozed in 2010, an ex colleague of Stevenson owned it.

You might be thinking of James O'Neill the subject of the ABC documentary The Fishermen.

Cheers, I retired in 2011, I knew it was gone by then, but I didn't realise it was bowled over as recently as 2010.
No worries, lawyer Dianne Meyers sold it to some transcendental meditation mob I think. That house was very central to the whole 'Family' situation up until June 1979.

And the little white purse.

Does anyone know why the prick is Port Augusta and not maximum security in Yatla??

From inside info related to me: anyone with a very long non parole period and zero hope of getting out anytime soon, is shipped to Pt Augusta to free up space in Yatala for short-termers.

I think you are right on that point and whilst, overall, Pt Augusta has a security rating of medium it does have a high/maximum security section

A few people I know have been keen for this to happen for a long time. Here's hoping. Allegedly was a ' drop off ' point for an organised abuse ring.
heard that this line of investigation is now on hold pending 'advice' on how to move forward, and that the likelihood of finding anything is slim.

Yes, so much time has passed. Apparently linked to the grandfather of a current deviate who is in prison. Private searches years ago apparently uncovered child pr0n in the abandoned house along with restraining implements. Also barrels were uncovered but the strange mush inside was not distinguishable. No hard proof unfortunately.

Geez SA has had some sick f****rs in its history. Would love to see some of these historic crimes solved. I can't help wonder if the cops know a lot more than has ever been divulged, but can't prove a thing.

that is guaranteed for both good reason and bad reasons. it is for the bad reasons, that special task forces and organisations like the NCA were formed.

Coppers in Qld got 2 blokes for a 40 year old disappearnce of a Mother and 2 or 3 Kids just Yesterday I think? They were original suspects but no evidence.I yhink new techniques caught them.
Anyway maybe one Day the wallopers in Adelaide will get enough evidence for these cold cases.I am sure they have a fair idea who did it.Just not enoufh evidence.
