Was impressed tonight.

Id give him a bash on the wing (Tivendale is average) or a back pocket/flank

Maybe what we have been looking for down back?

Either way going by tonights effort he walks into our 18.

yep halfback flank/wing occassional stint on the ball where he can throw his weight around, looks very strong (3rd thread iv said it in now ) :p

he may get reported, hit king with an elbow in the last quater i think

I thought it was 2nd/3rd 1/4.

I had a perfect view being right on the wing.

He was protecting his mate with the ball but will have to go for that.

Being such a young side now Tucky gives us the extra hardness we really need. He still has some rough edges but I think he is certainly worth a chance at some stage. He turns 24 this year so it is important he makes his stamp now as he probably won't get another season. I for one hopes he does make it as he seems to have a charisma about him which can only be good for the team.

Yeah, I thought Tuck was fantastic but looking at what he's done at Coburg I think it was expected.

Hes a good player. He will only get better with more experiance.

PS: I was at the match, I found it hard to find differences between Tuck, Johnson, Deledio, Brown. Their hair looks very similar.

I could tell Deledio :). I neally creamed my self every time he went near the ball, ditto Tambling

I struggled to find Johnson much but Tuck was farily easy I reckon. He was on my wing alot.

I thought to my self 'fok that 33 goes alright'. I looked up the record:
33 = Hartigan :cool:

Last night Tuck showed alot of grunt and muscle. Wiht so many kids its good to have a bloke which isnt soft and can extract the pill to support Johnson and Cogs.

I.ve always been a fan of this lad.
He has a disposition that suggests he is capable of greatness
and if he has his dads nouse for the game then we are looking\at a LONG term prospect.

I hope he can mature, somewhat late, with the new crop and prove me right.

Never can understand people writing him off as they did last year.

With some self belief and confidence in the team he can go all the way.

and that was just during the pre-game warm up.

Were u the guy who was surrounded by umbrellas about half way down ???

:p

First time was when some one kicked in into space on the wing. The Pies bloke ran at 80% thought he had it covered. Lids sprinted about 30/40 meters in 2 secounds and took it on his cheast

Nope.

The bloke which had the mates wearing wife beater singlets on the wing and chanting 'oh when the saints' after Knobles 9 pointer :)

Tuck's biggest asset seems to be his long direct kicking, which fits perfectly with the gameplan. When momentum is against us, other players are reverting to chipping around but Tuck sticks to the long kicks which is a good sign. If he keeps that up he will get games.

I was happy with hartigan as well. He needs to improve his kicking but i like his spirit. He also gave cloke a nice punch in the face when he tried to fight tambling after that great mark in the 2nd quater

Noticed Tuck, in the first half, drop his head going for a overhead mark. Maybe just a confidence thing but i hope he still gets a real go.

Shane Tuck impressed for the Tigers, showing plenty of poise through the midfield, while Mark Chaffey, Kane Johnson and David Rodan also played well.

Man, Tuck was brilliant today. Easily our best, getting about 30 touches and 2 goals. He's hard at it, always in the packs, kicks long (unlike a certain number 32) and is a real goer. Will be good for us this year.

So why the hell didnt he play last season

He was in our best last game vs the Pies

at lot of things went wrong last year, i cant really figure why? ;)

I had a chat to Mick Malthouse and he told me it had something to do with the alignment of the nearest stars to our solar system.

If only Frawley gave him match time hey lol

Bloody Frawley does not no what good is even if it is under his nose.

I would like to think Tuck could play most games this year :) he is something to look forward to..... thats for sure.

I like Tuck's style of play, when he uses the ball he is actually effective, this was evident in the Brisbane game last year, what did Spud give him for his efforts, a place on the bench! masterstroke there by old Spuddy.

I think we have a good player in Tuck, Under a decent coach who has a brain, I think Tuck will fire this year.
