From today's West in an article related to McPharlin:
Injury news out of West Coast yesterday was also positive, with Collingwood recruit Brent Tuckey cleared of any serious damage to his knee.
Tuckey received a heavy knock to the knee in the practice match against the Kangaroos on Saturday and was still suffering with some soreness on Monday.
But an MRI scan has not revealed any major structural damage to the joint.
"It is a favourable report," assistant coach Guy McKenna said. "He is going to have a light week this week but hopefully he will be right for round one.
"There was no major damage but there was a bit of wear and tear."
The Eagles have also applied to the AFL to have about 10 players released to play this weekend.
Goods news then.
