Not much has been said about his game. I thought he was poor. He is one of our senior players now. Tuck was MIA when the game was on the line.

On the plus side, it makes me believe that last week was just a one off. Most of our players had their worst game in a long time. It still doesn't make up for what happened, because it was a disgrace, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

agree Sante, went to the game and was pretty disgusted at his game at one stage i thought he was not playing then i saw him.
i'm glad i had to work in apollo bay all weekend so icouldn't dwell on the loss

Apart from the fact sante must now is in contention for the best avatar on BF, I absolutely agree. Watching the game, I didn't think he was playing, didn't even notice him. It scared the hell out of me when I picked up the paper the next morning and saw he had 24 possessions. He was ineffective.

But Tucky will come back and has the runs on the board to support it.

Not a fan of Coopers, but at least it's better than VB
Tuck hasn't had a great build up in the preseason and he usually starts the season slow. Foley couldn't train for a week just before the game and Cousins was still buidling fitness and match practice. So it wasn't the best preparation our midfield. Those 3 players were a week or 2 off playing somewhere near their best. Would have been nice if the season started in another week with a couple more practice games under their belts. I don't buy into those rubbish ineffective stat figures. If it's not a clanger then it shouldn't be counted. A long kick forward to a congested forward line is pretty much an ineffective kick because the opposition will probably rebound or a ball up will occur. Lids and Simmonds had 2 or 3 bad clangers which was far worse than what Tuck did

tuck had a slow start to the season last year. well he needs to play the footy he was at the end of last year now!

wait around a while, he will chime in with the footy you speak of, when we are playing sides we should beat......like someone else suggested, draught horse who looks good on the stats sheet when playing with draught horses...heaven help us. ;)

considering tuck takes a while to get into it at the start of the season, you'd think we'd try and get him to play as many practice matches as possible so he's more prepared by round 1

He had less than average time on ground.

Agree he was poor though, and he is my favourite player at the club.

+1

Though I must say our good friend sante has done an apparent 360 in his appraisal of the team and Tezza, never heard so much as a peep of negativity (realism) from him until a flood of such posts following our loss;)

I still believe we're better than that and its not all doom and gloom. Turnovers and lack of toughness at the contests need to be fixed or we'll always struggle.

We are 15 goals better than that no doubt. The blues caught us at a good time to belt us. You won't see Lids kick 2 shockers like that again, let alone 1 from a kick in, you won't see Mcguane and Simmo drop the ball with their eyes closed like that in the defensive goal square again. That's 4 goals to Carlton already. Foley ankle wasn't good timing either and Tuck and Cousins didn't get alot of game time in the preseason. Our midfield was 10% down from the start. Brown doesn't play that bad either
