For me it would have to be stuff like smoking, tattoos, excessive swearing, a lack of intelligence, gym junkies, arrogance, mean personality, maybe bad teeth, obsessed with cars...probably about it. Basically I'm not one to fall for bad boys, with the odd exception of a particularly dreamy movie character, just not my type.

In my experience of dating, NOT ONCE have I ever dated a clingy woman. It's pretty obvious women only date us for the confidence boost. Tell them all the time how much you love them, buy her gifts, take her places and be affectionate, and she won't be clingy.

Chicks who think they're hot shit when they are in actual fact the most horrid looking thing god could of possibly mustered up. These types generally smoke, drink and do drugs, whilst wearing the most revealing clothing possible, poking their fat **** out with cellulite hanging out the back of their short denim shorts. Because of their root counts of 30+ (mainly year 10 dropouts on unemployment benefits), they seem to think they are the desire of every male.

Unfortunately we get plenty of these in G-town.

Smoking isn't great, don't mind if they do it occasionally/social smoke.

Arrogance and treating people poorly in general is a huge turn off.

Yeah, nah. You must think you're the only guy out there who ever "tells them all the time how much you love them, buy her gifts, take her places and be affectionate." You must be rather naive to hold the view you do.

Why would a woman be clingy to a guy that doesn't do these things for her, other than being desperate?

Your experience is just that: yours alone. It's not the standard; as one woman isn't the same as the next. If you think there's a one size fits all solution to every woman, you likely haven't dated enough women to come across and experience how clingy some women can be.
