the thing which royally pissed me off about the chris judd saga was his decision to choose carlton and carlton only. If he went to collingwood which had a realistic chance at glory and success then i wouldn't have minded so much, if he went to his favourite team in melbourne, i wouldn't have minded so much, but to choose carlton, who have NO chance of premiership in the next 5 years and probably beyond, but coincidently had the most money available, it f****** pissed me off. He knew that by choosing one club that he would be giving West Coast the proverbial arse rape, but did it anyway. I think the turning back idea is a great idea and would perfectly symbolize what he did to us, but i don't see it happening in mass unison.

Bit over this whole issue as well ... but it has got to be said you are very much delusional if you think that we would have won the flag without Judd.

It's pretty ridiculous one way or the other. Fact is, he was a good contributor in a premiership side. Perhaps if we drafted Bartel or Dal Santo, the result would have been the same, maybe different. No way of knowing. Even if you consider a direct replacement from our existing squad it's impossible to know. Unknowns pull blinders from nowhere ala Shane Ellen. Even Waters and Hansen were oddly terrific.

Actually, I reckon there is 10 to 15 guys we couldn't have won the premiership without

You are completely confused! Firstly you wish he had chosen one club above others (eg. Collingwood, just not Carlton). Then you admonish him for doing exactly that - choosing one club! You can't have it both ways!
Finally....get over it! WCE got the best deal possible for Judd - they know it; every other club knows it; you know it!

I didn't say we would have won the flag without Judd - what I said was he wouldn't have won a premiership without us either. It takes a TEAM to win a flag - not one player. Had he been drafted by Hawthorn or St Kilda, he would be yet another very good footballer to not play in a premiership.

Just win the bloody game, West Coast!

The only thing that is going to give Eagles fans any satisfaction whatsoever is if our boys walk off the ground after the final siren with a bigger score on the board than the Blues.

By all means get stuck into the filthy traitor, but if he walks off the ground a winner, the joke's on us.

You know I am still angry with him leaving and turning his back on us, the way he went about it by forcing the Eagles to only deal with Carlton, was also a kick in the guts, and the way that Carlton would not give us that number 1 draft pick for him and really the Eagles could not do a thing about it still plays on me.
Judd wanted to go back home was fair enough, but he did not do the Eagles any favors by having to deal with only one club out of ten Victorian clubs, and Carlton just sucked us dry.

I hate Judd and I hate Carlton.

I call on all Eagles supporters to boo the crap out of him and his crummy team.

Josh Kennedy looks like he will be an absolute gun, pick 3 in the national draft (Chris Masten, again a potential champion) and pick 20. I would think that after 5 years west coast will be more than happy with their Judd deal.
The situation that the club is in at the moment would be a lot worse without these young players. Other well known WCE players seem to have sucked the club dry more so than Carlton and Chris Judd IMO.

Kennedy has shown a bit but it's far to early to declare he'll be an "absolute gun". Masten and Notte come on the back of good recruiting, but they could very well have been or could be a Fiora or Tambling.
