Turnaround in finals results compared to the home & away season

I wonder how well the great forwards of the 80's and 90's would have done against modern defensive game plans.

I don’t think Ablett & Lockett would of been playing a hell of a lot considering what warrants a suspension these days.....On the topic, losing during the season to a team has been a gift to a lot come GF day.....A couple that really stand out to me are the Roos of 1996, who got obliterated by the Swans during the season & ditto for the Tigers in 2017 by the Crows....Both completely turned it around come the GF.
