Because chasing a small forward with a good last name is pointless. Other options are available in this draft that would possibily be cheaper and just as effective.

I would love Matera, but at the right price.

Well this thread ought to get our useless eagles winning again. Similar threads like this last year seemed to helped.

Interesting to see what the eagles do if in this sernaro

Do we go for a need: Key forward (Darling)
or Best player in draft Midfielder / small forward (Bennell)

Ás much as I want both our Key position Forward targets are useless apart from Kennedy. If we pick up Darling we can build a Brown - Fevola line up.

And the Lions are showing how if you don't have a decent midfield two quality big forwards don't get enough ball to be effective.

Collingwood, Geelong, Saints and Dogs don't have two quality tall forwards do they? But they have very good midfields and running HBFers.

Eagles have Kennedy with a couple of others developing, we need highly skilled mids / small forwards. We drafted Weedon, Neates, Broome, Hams and also Strijk last year so hopefully one of those can become a good small forward. This year we should be chasing the best mid with our first and second picks and another project ruckman with a later pick.
