Anyone watch it?

One of the best shows on telly.

Last night training for a day with Danny Green was awesome. Boy o boy did he push him, especially in the 2 @ 3 minute spars when (at 25% power relentless for the entire two rounds) hit Mat in the exact same spot in the liver 3 times and dropped him each time. Poor bugger after the second only could think of geting a cudle from his mother he was in so much pain.

The other, Danny at 5 meters threw a 6kg medicine ball basket ball style at him with so much ease but such speed and power Matt couldnt catch even one, and he as as fit as they come.

2 weeks ago with the Australian Mens Water polo was just as good. They are beasts, absolute man mountain beasts. The "egg beater" across the pool hooked up to the bungie cord a killer.

We are 4 eps into season 3 and its well worth tracking them all down. Briliant show.

And for Richmond supporters in season 1 he trained footy style with the Tiges at the punt road gym.

It's great to take aspects of different training regimes and incorporate them into my own.

Remember he did one on the rowing machine whereby he had 20sec to get 100m and 40sec rest for 10xmin. Each time he missed, they added on another minute. This was at the end of a pretty trying gym session. Excellent activity to do to get the heart rate up and get you blowing ...

Last week when he was up in the Red Bull plane for a full 100% simulation was outstanding. Full 8G and he handled it perfect. How lucky was he as that would have been mental.

That's pretty brutal. I warm up with a 2 min 500m row to start and after that I'm puffing for the rest of my warm up.

Danny Greens workout.

Mat's usual warm up followed by Danny’s warm up of 2 x 3min shadow boxing.

Hard pad work (unspecified time and rounds) with intermittent explosive body squats.

4 x 3min rounds on the heavy bag with intermittent wrestling.

Into the gym for 3 sets of-

30 second sled push
Pushup position, heavy rope flicks 15 each arm.
30 seconds explosive pushups.
30 seconds catch/throw 6kg medicine ball.
30 seconds sled push

2 x 3 minute sparing. The sparing was to put him under pressure by having someone on his "hammer" as Danny said and to give a little bit of hurt.

4 times he was hit in the liver, Danny showed absolutely no concern and had a grin when he said to Mat it feels as though someone has just put a saw through your liver, then went on to say it’s the only time he has been injured and in pain. What a way to show some hurt.

Mat was in agony and the trailer for next week he is off to train with the Kookaburras filmed the following day and it looks as though the liver isn’t in good shape.

Caught this episode this week. Thought it was a bit rich/unnecessary for Green to keep hitting him in the liver, and then brag that he was only using "25% of his power", too.

Looked like a pretty tough workout all-round though.

Not sure if you are a regular watcher, but part of the show is the hurt factor, hence search 4 hurt. Last week in the red bull race plane it was a full blown 8G race simulation. The pilot wanted him to feel the full force. Its what makes the show so good.

Also I reckon his workout with the Aussie mens water polo team looked tougher, that was a killer.

Fair enough, just kind of came across a bit knobbish on Green's part, that's all.

You should track down last weeks red bull flight. Its mind blowing. And when the pilot does his mental run throughs of the actual coarse whilst walking on the ground is a spinout. He will do around 4 of them and the first is in slow motion and last at full speed, so when he gets in the plane ready to race he is 100% tuned in to the actual coarse. If you seen him doing it down the street you would think he has escaped from a loony bin.
