2000 Southern Football League Grand Final.
Kermandie v New Norfolk.

A warm and windy day turned into a very soggy one as the then Bushrangers and Hawks did battle in the big one after both beat minor premier, Hobart by a point and eight points respectively to get in.
Kermandie winless two years previous to this and New Norfolk booted out of the statewide league the year before meet before 5,400 at North Hobart.
The commentary provided by Huon FM's SFL Footy Show team of the late Merv Yeoland, the late Brett "Buster" Jones, and Kenny Anderson.

1983 STFA Second Semi Final.
Lachlan v Bothwell at Bellerive Oval.

The STFA was formerly known as the Associated Youth Club FA from 1949 up until it was renamed the Southern Tasmanian FA in 1976.
In this match, Lachlan (playing in Red, White and Black and titled N.NORFOLK on the old scoreboard) were up against the Rabbits from Bothwell at the "old" Bellerive Oval, a couple of years before it had a complete makeover to turn it into a Test cricket venue.
Lachlan got out to a 61 point lead before Bothwell edged their way back and incredibly pinched it at the death, 15.12 (102) to 15.8 (98).
In the background in the senior match, you can hear the 7ZR (936 ABC Radio) broadcast of that day's TANFL First Semi Final between Sandy Bay and Clarence on the radio in the box, which ended in a draw.
Two weeks later Bothwell and Lachlan would meet again in the Grand Final, and a similar thrilling end resulted with Bothwell again pipping Lachlan at the death to win the flag by four points, 10.12 (72) to 10.8 (68).
The STFA ended after the 1986 season.

1991 Tasmanian Amateur FL.
Southern Division Seniors Grand Final.
Lauderdale 16.10 (106) d Claremont 14.10 (94)

This was the Lauderdale Football Club's first and, to date, only senior premiership win, up against the all-conquering Claremont at Abbotsfield Park in the Southern Amateur decider.

Lauderdale were formed in 1979 as the Magpies and participated in the Tasman FA.
From 1981-1995 they were a member of the Southern Amateurs and were known as the Cats for their entire duration.
From 1996-2003 the club were in the SFL/Regional League as the Cats.
In 2004 they aligned with Essendon and became the Bombers, at the same time they were elevated to join the SFL Premier League where they played until the end of 2008.
In 2009 they joined the Tasmanian State League as the Bombers are still operating as that in 2023.
