Is that a joke? The thread is 73 pages long. A lot of that is due to people asking questions the internet can answer far more quickly. He meant Cable internet. You were wrong about how people use the term cable. If you used the Internet you would see you only get PL with an Optus mobile or internet deal worth $85 or more. As you have been told multiple times.
If people only posted on this board things that the internet couldn't answer for them it'd be a lot shorter, but I don't know who died and made you captain of the forum.

I am aware only phone and internet bundles get it, but Optus are being ****silly people about this whole thing as this thread demonstrates, forgive me for wanting to clarify that there may be other options, or WC may have said something incorrect that confused someone else.

What is up your ass today?

Not really helping. Just confirming that option is dead in the water on that idea. dream crusher!!!!

No they don't show games at all. They have a text commentary which is like totally not adequate :(

Might need to investigate PremierLeague pass and break out my VPN again. **** you Optus.
Also genuine question, not a troll. Do Spurs not have their own TV channel? I know Chelsea, Arsenal, United and we do. City do aswell I think now?

Spurs should crack on with one.

Ours is the best too because ours rhymes. Arsenal TV, MUTV, Chelsea TV... they all sound stupid. LFCTV though just rolls off the tongue. :)

Yes we do for highlights, interviews and pretty much everything except full games.

Is that an actual TV channel though? That just looks like interviews and highlights.

LFCTV has like anchors and correspondants and various different tv shows and specials and live U21 and reserves games. It shows classic games, has half hour specials on ex players, shows where current players play games or take on challenges and all that kind of stuff.

Plus you can buy the channel and it is on 24/7.

Is it like that or different?

I honestly don't know much about it given it does not have full games I've never bothered to look much further.

They do show reserves and under age highlights as well as previous watershed moments from the vault. but again for some reason no full games. I do know they do challenges against each other on there too as I've seen them when they put them on social media. Quite disgusted at their Mario Kart 64 ability. Genuinely disgusted, a couple should be sold (looking at you Jan) purely for how inept they were :(

So most of what you've described with LFCTV except no full games. irritating.

I wonder if the Foxtel channels will be 24/7. My GF will be pissed off she will never get to touch the remote again :D

If only the Liberals hadn't killed the NBN we'd have streaming we could rely on in far more places.
Not sure why you are bringing politics into this, especially when the FTTP NBN would have taken even longer to build and so clearly would not solve any of these issues for many years

Competition has already given everyone on Foxtel Sports BeIn for an additional $1/mth which all Foxtel customers have to pay on their base package.
What does this have to do with competition? BeIN has a linear channel, is available on Foxtel, and didn't take any sports rights away from Fox Sports

Premier League is big and getting bigger. Don't believe Foxtel's comments to shareholders after they lost the rights. Just use your eyes and look at the streets and parks. An immigrant nation is only going to get more round-ball followers. The UCL has taken some of the attention away, but LCFC fixed that.
Unless Optus is able to move games to 5pm AEST as part of the deal the rights are not worth $60m per year

I'll probably move to Optus when my mobile contract expires because it is much better value than Telstra and the coverage is fine in metro Sydney but I'd still prefer a channel on Foxtel even if it costs an extra $10 per month.

Hang on. Back up here. So people could just switch their cable to Optus, carry on getting Foxtel, and get EPL for free?

I brought this up a few pages back and got told I was an idiot and you needed a phone or internet plan with Optus.
The Optus and Telstra HFC networks don't overlap AFAIK so you can't switch to Optus unless you want to pack in your cable broadband for Optus ADSL at about a quarter of the speed

Foxtel is very thin on US sports. I can't let praise for that aspect go uncommented.
Seriously? There are two whole channels of nothing but US sports! Effectively every NFL game or at least every touchdown, fair bit of regular season NBA and most finals. Fair bit of baseball too once NBA season wraps up.

I would've thought that is fairly obvious - no matter the time-lines, you cannot deny the future of HD video is largely going to happen via streaming. Australia will need better internet infrastructure. You also cannot deny that the reviews and delays under the Liberals have not been helpful to either their or Labor's original time-line. I'm not sure where your problem is with this logic?

The only reason it was made free for Fox Sports users is the competition brought about by Optus taking the PL. That is what it has to do with competition.
