I tell ya, for all the money they spend on football rights, and being a global broadcaster of football, you'd think BeIN could invest in some decent commentary.

I sat down to watch Monaco and Lyon earlier today. Unlistenable. For all the s**t we heap on AFL commentators like Taylor and Russell, they look like Martin Tyler in comparison to these blokes covering Ligue 1.

beIN would only be taking the world feed provided by Ligue 1. They would have no control over who the commentators are, that's up to Ligue 1

I don't think so, Don Hutchison was on some show the other day with the black guy (not Dublin) and some Arab looking fella with a beard and some bird I'd never seen before.

Nope, it's just called Weekend Recap or something. Watched it yesterday. Think they've upped the production value or else just revamped a bunch of stuff, a bunch of new fancy graphics and stuff.

That's pretty piss poor. Optus Sport venues seem to be few and far between, perhaps better if publicans break out a chromecast and cast it to their big screens, who's gonna really know/care?

Pretty much I'd imagine

Some of beINs Serie A commentators commentate PL/CL/EL matches too, would imagine there's a central bunker somewhere where the commentators all go to and just watch the game through a large widescreen monitor or something

0 I'd imagine, can't recall anything being on SBS in 2016, there was some coverage in 2012 though but the TV rights landscape was vastly different then

Yeah, Optus have Euro 2020 rights. I’d imagine that none of the tournament will be on SBS as Optus have shown that they can handle a lot of football content from around Europe and they wouldn’t negotiate a deal with SBS,
 
anyone else having issues with casting atm.

my vision is glitchy as anything right now.

Plenty of complaints on social media about it. Still cant cast the game. Tried a highlights video and that casted fine.

Early game with a popular team and Optus shits itself.
