I am loving this season's Marvel Agents of Shield. Love most SciFi shows and can't wait for the next season of The Orville.

I was never able to get into Agents of Shield.

I watch all the DC and Marvel stuff, but just watching the first couple of episodes it felt slow and there wasn't anything happening, no superpowers.

Can you make a case for why I should get into it?

It does go up and down in stories but I am enjoying this series. They go forward in time and storyline is quite good.
You can still enjoy this series without watching the others.

Yeah, I know it’s a genre, but I find it hard to relate to characters who are not just neurotic but plain stupid. Like the male lead who has second thoughts about murdering someone because it would leave behind evidence which would point to him... uh dude you were about to kill that same person on your own living room couch only 15 mins ago...?! Seriously...
Thats not the reason why he doesn't kill her, if you'd continued on through the show you'd see he realises it's horrible. through an event that happens.

Almost through Altered Carbon here, they've made some interesting adjustments to the book (from memory) but overall it's pretty good viewing for Sci-Fi/Hardboiled fans.
Yeah I've never been a scifi fan but this series really has me into it. Really cool, Joel Kinnerman is a beast lead.

Yeah the acting is very high quality for a TV series. I’m up to episode 9 now and a few major changes to the book have me a little disappointed but these things are too be expected.

That’s the stated reason he doesn’t kill her in the motel. If I have to sit through an entire season to find out the characters suck 1% less than I thought, that’s on the writers.

It's one of the reasons. It's the standing reason of why he won't kill her. He lies about it all.

Just two episodes into this and I don't mind it. Not offered in Australia so is it still illegal to download?

After being declared dead in absentia, an FBI agent must reclaim her family, identity and innocence when she finds herself the prime suspect in a string of murders.

Enjoyed Altered Carbon but the series way out there. Watching Limitless now. Similar scenario to the movie with Bradley Cooper. In fact Cooper appears in the pilot.

If you want to watch something light, fun and interesting and have Netflix, I recommend Brain Games.

Series shows how our brain sees colour, faces, memory, reactions, reflex, stress we find attractive and lots of other things. Very interactive and you can join in.

The Looming Tower.

It's based on an award winning non fiction book of the same name and looks at critical events that lead up to 9/11.

Whereas the book focused strongly on the terrorist masterminds the tv series looks more closely at the disconnect between the F.B.I. and C.I.A. and the warning signs missed/ignored prior to the Twin Towers attack.

I've been slack so there's a few shows I am still watching the most recent season, a couple of shows that have just been released.

Jessica Jones
Sneaky Pete
Mr Robot
The Killing
Shameless
The Sinner
Mindhunter
Ozark
Peaky Blinders
Coach Snoop
Defenders

If you have Netflix, I suggest you watch Occupied. Foreign series and dubbed (some English) but the first series I really enjoyed and now series 2 is out.
If you haven't watched it, watch 1 before 2.

In the near future, Norway is occupied by Russia on behalf of the European Union, due to the fact that the newly elected environmental friendly Norwegian government has stopped the all important oil- and gas-production in the North Sea.
