Chernobyl is terrifying for what could of have happened. not a feel good story but its a very good show.
Watched ep 3 Saturday night and had a very restless sleep.
Harrowing.
Watched ep 4 last night and, as an animal lover, it was even worse!
But what a show! So good.

Wrestling focus on Viceland.

Dark side of the Rimg

very compelling story about the dark side of humans, in the wrestling business.

Handmaid's Tale S3 just started on SBS - Addicted.
Fantastic.

It’s so good.

Really love ofglen too.

And though she’s nasty Aunt Lydia is a tour de force.

Elisabeth Moss as a June is mesmerising.

Summed up, addicted as well.

Black Mirror is back too.

Weird first episode but a thinking show nonetheless.

Andre was a fascinating story.

I actually have seen him wrestle.
He was sooooooo big.

Interesting fact he was billed as 7’5” but like all things wrestling it was a work (ie fake). He was more like just under 7’ but with his hair frizzed up and his extra large head (had some condition) he looked bigger as it were.

That’s the wrestling business.

I also have seen the late great Bruiser Brady wrestle when I was a kid.

I just watched the first two seasons of Twin Peaks. I couldn't help comparing some curious similarities with Taratino's Kill Bill movies. Saintly Viewed, I know you're an avid movie and TV buff, I was wondering if you'd picked up any of that?

No, I can’t recall this. Fascinating if so.

The Kill Bill movies are a bit under rated. Then again, Uma Thurman...
Valerian steel...

Tarantino is fantastic and I really love the Kill Bill movies. Tarantino is a great one for borrowing from a lot of influences.

Similarity 1: The characters Bill (from Kill Bill) and Windom Earl (from Twin Peaks), both villanous, both play the flute.

Similarity 2: The characters Elle Driver (Kill Bill) and Nadine (Twin Peaks), both bad arse female characters, both wore eye patches.

Similarity 3: Michael Parkes was an actor in Twin Peaks and Kill Bill (multiple characters). In Twin Peaks he played Jean Renauld a french canadian pimp and in Kill Bill Esteban Vihao a mexican pimp. Both with identical accents.

I don't think it's a coincidence. Pretty clever references to Twin Peaks in Kill Bill I reckon.
