A huge congratulations to Breann and Darcy who have been named in the 2021 AFLW All-Australian team.







Both thoroughly deserved after outstanding individual seasons.

Congratulations ladies. Moody has been a tower of strength in the ruck and Darcy was lightning in the second half of the season. Well deserved.

To be fair ODN, Darcy only really hit her stride after about 4 games. In a 9 goal game season, that's almost half a season where she wan't playing to AA standard. But as you say, she was the highest goal kicker, so they couldn't deny her a spot in the team.

But congrats to both of them. I don't think it was any coincidence that once Breanne found the confidence to chase the ball and impact play in more than just her ruck work, that the team as a whole lifted.

Can't think of anyone who would beat her. She was the only one in the team who consistenly won her position. Maddy missed a game and was down on her usual influence in a few others. Kezz might be chance, and Gab Pound would definitely be in the hunt if she'd played the whole season. I loved watching Gab this season, she was just so assured with her defensive play and then her delivery out of the backline.
