Two in a Row

The Saints have won two in a row now against Geelong, last week and Western Bulldogs, today. Next week they line up against Carlton. This our best chance in quite a while to win three in a row and catapult ourselves into the eight.

The draw gets more difficult after the Carlton game. We can't afford to not take the points against Carlton.

Then we can concentrate on the Subiaco match against Freo.

The Saints have much to be proud of already, but the season is still young and we still have much work to do before we can rest on our laurels.

Grant Thomas continues to defy public opinion on his coaching ability. Another solid effort.

The umpires had a field day, at one stage the free kick count was 6 - 6 but ended the day 8 - 20 in favour of the bulldogs.

The umpiring was amazingly one-sided, especially in the last quarter. We got nothing from them!

Powell's miss nearly cost us big. They took it straight down and kicked a goal. Improvement is needed!

Goddard was tremendous today. His judgement was fantastic.

Overall, a good win - should have been by a lot more though, because Footscray were awful.
