May I ask why all people on this forum can talk about are North Melbourne and the Bombers??? There are other teams in the league too.

But we do spend more time discussing certain clubs -don't we? I don't have a problem with it though, if I wanted Eagles Only topics, I'd stay at the Eagles forum. (Although one does tire of Dan24's endless Essendon stats!)
Besides, Essendon, North, Carlton & Collingwood are far more controversial clubs. Others just don't attract much attention....

I like talking about North Melbourne because I find they are easily the most interesting club - off the field that is.

We talk about bombers the most because they have the highest self-imposed expectations this year.
It could even ruin the enjoyment for a lot of them. I heard that many were bitterly disappointed after the game on saturday because they didn't 'bury' Carlton.
Anything less than a flag will be abject failure for them. for the rest of us making the finals is the next target. They are riding for a fall and its amusing to watch.
On the other hand they could just win it. We'd all concede they were right and there'd be a HUGE sigh of reief.

y'know it's funny how most of the people talking about Essendon being dead cert's barrack for other teams like you. Most of the dons fans who post here regularly (Dutch et al) here are *hoping* we'll win the flag but, but to expect anything more than making the finals at this stage would plainly be silly after seeing how last year panned out. As for the weekend, I was quite happy. Four points in the bag and no serious injuries.

Another thing, it's not as if the regulars like the Dutchman, Arch, Bloodstained Angel, Eagle Fan etc. etc. just write rubbish and abuse. Most of the things that these people write are worthwhile reading. If it wasn't, I wouldn't bother contributing.

At least the forum covers a whole range of topics because of the input from different perpectives. Nothing worse than going to a forum and having to wade through all the posts about Ben Cousin's bum, or Matty Lloyd's hairstyle or even worse, supporters of the same team wishing to tear each other's throats out. (saw afc.com.au before it was shut down - ugly!!!!)
