It was a good hard contest with Glass charging back with the flight.

Meh, going back with the flight generally implies you also have eyes for the ball right up to the point of marking. Not sure Glass could convincingly say that he did.

The video shows pretty clearly he takes his eye of the ball a good 5 metres before impact and essentially concedes that he isn't going to attempt a mark yet maintains his current line regardless, and jumps off the ground.

He's very, very lucky.

Adam Schneider offered 1 week down from 2 for tapping Mark Baguley was disgraceful.

Absolutely nothing in it.

Yeah, bit harsh. Could have taken a reprimand if it wasn't for carryover points and bad record.

Remarkable that people think that this is OK. He went for the man in a marking contest. That's been the definition of charging for at least 20 years.

Imagine if it was allowed.....player goes up for a mark, fully exposed, and some dirty sniper comes in and lays him flat. I can't remember any time in the game when that's been legal.

take your glasses off he deserved at least 2 weeks and you know it if this was a freo player it would have been 4 weeks and history tells us that
Please provide evidence of a similar incident causing a Freo player to get rubbed out for 4 weeks then.

4 weeks.

Oh wait....... That was a reprimand and 80 points, only got a week because of a bad record and carry over points.

Similar enough incidents. Both jumped and took out a player running with the flight of the ball. Except Mcpharlin raised an elbow and collected Kennedy in the head while Glass was just body contact.

Amazing how many players McPharlin has 'accidentally' collected over the years.

3rd shot shows his elbow went past his head. Would of got 4 if he was hit flush in the head

Google Darren Glass hits and have a look at his history
Still waiting for a Freo poster to provide this proof of this AFL conspiracy that nets Freo players 4 weeks for a similar incident.

If you think two weeks is bad, wait until Viney gets 6 weeks for breaking Lynch's jaw. This is a bad rule pure and simple and it should be classed as an accident. I wonder if he will get done for injuring his own player in the contest?

Viney's head didn't hit Lynch though. It was his shoulder. I expect Viney to get 2-3.

I just looked again. Bit of both. I'm not sure which bit dd the damage. It's labelled on the AFL site as 'triple head clash'. Regardless, a broken jaw takes it into severe impact, which is something like 425 points. Less 25% and assuming there are no carryover points, 3 weeks. (Ok, 6 weeks was a bit of an overreaction, but I think it was mostly accidental head contact and it should be nothing).
