I get that it's hard to be enthusiastic about anything at the moment.
However,
It's not really up to Jake Neade to drag the team across the line.
That's up to our leaders in the midfield - Boak, Gray, Wines, Ebert, Hartlett.
When they improve, the whole team will look infinitely better, including bit players like Neadey

Well done Jakey . I'm not totally convinced I must admit but he has raised his game a bit this year and if he keeps the upward trajectory going could end up a true gun

Yes I feel similar. I get most cranky about neade when he is easily out marked due to his size. Another aspect of this though is that our players need to learn to kick it too him when one on one. Eg put it lower to ground or more where he can use his strengths not over his head. The other thing is I hope he can bulk up a bit. Get more power
Thirdly. Would like see his goal kicking improve. He needs to be able to nail those 35 metre shots and get some confidence.
Edit. Congrats though young Jake. Clearly working on improving. His path has been more challenging than most to get to his position

That rumour was going around ages ago. Would hate to lose him, our best defender..shit, our best player, but the way things are going absolutely nothing would surprise me anymore. I am setting them free, mentally. Que sera sera.

Congrats Neady! One of the few that have visibly improved in 2016. He's been exceptional when our forward line and midfield have functioned properly this year and he's been desperate and serviceable when it has all gone to shit. Happy to see him rewarded with a 2 year deal.
