It's not that different. Same top 3 players like every other phantom draft. Same top 20 like every other phantom draft.

Given how even the draft is it's hardly strange to see players being shuffled around the top 20. Laverde is only seen as a top 5 lock due to Collingwoods rumoured interest more than anything else.

Some unusual selections there.... Not convinced the Dogs will overlook EVW from what has been rumoured on the Dogs board.
I'd also be surprised to see us taking him even if you guys did overlooking him, considering who we've been getting linked too in the lead up to the draft. Even in the phantom, Cal admitted that this isn't the type of player we have been looking at this year.

I havent seen enough of any of the draftees to be honest, but we need disposal skils and leg speed. I'm not convinced EVW is a priority for us, but leadership and versatility are nice traits...

Gold Coast going for Wright makes sense to me. He's just so skilled and they can then move Day to the backline. Lynch, Dixon, Wright all in one forward line could be scary. They need midfield depth, but have the next pick and plenty of other ways to find that. They wont get another shot at someone like Wright.

After that the 10-14 group is so dependent on each pick that comes before it so I think going for something different is as much chance to be right as some of the consensus options.

I don't see why they would bother doing that, if they need a KPD why not just pick Lever or Durdin (who will probably both be there).

On the whole I think it's a fairly poor effort by Twomey but to be fair it's an even draft so it is hard to pick what might happen.

I remember great phantom's, they used to go all the way through the whole draft.

But this jerk stops at 30 ...
