Mine was just joking, I have no idea if he will be any good but if a player wins a norm smith his team is normally the Premiers 😀
Don't tell Bucks..

I've just noticed that in this year's AFL Record Season Guide Tyan Prindable is named in the book's Indigenous players section (Listed Indigenous Players Yet To Play A Game). I haven't heard this anywhere previously, but especially as he didn't seem to play with the Flying Boomerangs team a few years back, and since they've been known to make mistakes in that section of the book before, I'm wondering if they have it right!
Surely thats just a mistake. I havent heard him being indigineous.
I think it must be correct, even though it's not something that's come out previously. He went to St Laurence's College, this appears to show him (in 2024), and I don't think he'd have been in that group if he wasn't Indigenous.

St Laurence College isn't just for indigenous students, it's a Cathoic college that has a diverse student body.

I was wondering about that, can't think of many, Gary Ablett Snr is one
While it was a draw so nobody really won- Lenny Hayes in 2010 but you could flip a coin

Would be interesting to research this though

Yes, I can see that, but they do apparently have that group just for their indigenous boys. It looks like 2024 was Tyan's last year at the school, but here we see the school celebrating three of their students graduating last year, and it does suggest that they are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. I'd say at least two of the boys in the photo with Prindable (and maybe a third) are pictured below:

So logically speaking, Tyan Prindable would only have been in that particular group at the school if he was indigenous (i.e. it wouldn't be open to all students).

If Tyan's indigenous, couldn't Brisbane have just taken him as an NGA?

He was in their Academy anyway. They weren't getting him "on the cheap", because he was too highly rated. Tylah Williams was a West Coast (Indigenous) NGA prospect, and they took him at pick 39 in the National Draft.

I do not care whether Tyan is indigenous or not, I only care about his attitude and his application and on both scores he passes for me.
I love the way he goes about things for a young lad who has had a few setbacks put in his way to get to where he is today and the direction he is going (onwards). I remember reading Thommo,s post about him after the club drafted him and I was excited then and after reading all the training reports from every one I just keep thinking how lucky the club were to have drafted him with the pick we had. I am very excited about all our picks last season in fact last 2 yrs including the mid season draft last year where we got a real beauty in Roan and I am also on the Noah train as well.

I can’t understand Prindable draft rating. It is irrelevant but interests me. Fox footy had him in the 80s. The lions committed to picking him 40 onwards. He was the most likely Lions late academy player to get a bid from another club. The Pies were linked to him. There was a very low view of him, only 58 players were taken in the National Draft. I am really liking the vibe from my train seat. Go pies.

If Fox footy had him in the draft in the 80,s then obviously they knew nothing of him, the Lions knew more but were intent on getting Annable who had been in their system for years. I think the most reliable source of information about Tyan is Thommo who has been watching him for years people forget that it was only last season that the Lions offered him a spot in their academy.

Now when he arrived at the Lions they noticed then and they chose him for 5 VFL matches against men and he did well 20 ppg and a couple of goals and with 20 posies a game there is no way he was stuck in a forward pocket and if he was then 20 a game is outstanding.

As I said when he came to the Pies he already had a semi developed body which for me was a great sign he was already doing the work to see him succeed in the VFL and I think it will translate well to AFL footy also. Aside from Angus who is 4 yrs older he alone has the body to play 1sts this year.

I think we have keeper here along with the others we drafted.
