Fly understands player development very well.

I think his first priority for a draftee would be to learn the game plan and their role within it.

I suspect very few first year draftees get a game in the first 10 rounds any year under Fly.

Mature recruits with experience are a different story.

How does he get talked up so much in the preseason then struggle to perform to vfl standard? Is he playing injured?

Small slow and has no real skills in terms of kicking or marking

There's a difference between running around cones hitting targets in token pressure drills, and then having to actually tip in, get smashed and get up and go again. I like training reports but for every Nick Daicos burning up the track there's a Briskey, Chugg, etc.

Very slight kid. Hopefully with another pre season will add the size needed in his role to play to his strengths
This kid should have pictures of Titch and Tay Adams on his wall. That’s about what we can hope for. Let’s see where things sit at the end of next year.

If he’s so small he should have agility/endurance to get involved in the play. The fact he can’t find the footy and has used it poorly is major red flags and no doubt why Brisbane passed on him

I think Prindable is more a sign of the draft in 2025 than it being anything about him in particular. I never loved the selection (even though I got the why of it), but despite that I know it’s going to be a journey not a sprint with him.

To my eye, he's more of the traditional back pocket, haven't seen the composure that he displayed in the underage vsion - hopefully in terms of performance, he can turn into a player like Brad Hardie.

That’s a watch although I’d go a little more contemporary with Burns. I think the game is moving away from the nuggety in and under small and more towards dynamic inside smalls (Bolton/ Watson/ Pickett/ Daicos > Mitchell/ Libba/ Macrae/ Crouch).

The club seems set on the inside mid path for now though which I have my doubts on until we can see a clear skill set that allows him to get from inside to outside. It definitely wouldn’t hurt to find a second role for him!

Scott Burns was one of my favourites - I'd be very happy if he turned out like Scott

There are a number of contradictions regarding his capacity. The club liked Prindable’s inside competitiveness, his skills and his experience playing with men. There are contradictory statements regarding his tank and a need for flair. Collingwood’s draft statement was that he was a strong runner and Rookieme lists endurance as a con. Collingwood picked him at 32. Brisbane told Prindable they would match after pick 40. The Foxfooty lab rated him at 80. He has not settled at VFL level yet. Our expectation of quick adaptation needs to be adjusted, but it ain’t a write off. We appear to have Long, Anderson and Prindable as work horse/inside mids.

Thanks for that TD that shows he is really not so bad or good as we had hoped for but there are signs he can be developed into a player who can firsts.I must admit after following pre season I thought he might be able to play early but that is not the case. On watching that replay I see nothing to be so down upon him sure he makes mistakes all young players do they are not the only ones.It is only the special one,s like Pendles and N Daicos that you are sure about from day 1. I would say respectfully Annable is not in the Lions midfield yet and may not be before the season is over but they have great depth anyway.

We already have Anderson playing first,s and playing okay too for a bloke 2 games in but it is all in a perspective that is why after 4 or 5 games in the VFL I am okay with how Tyan is going. He is just starting out on his journey as is young Swadling.

But we’re 3 weeks into his first season!!!!!!!!
Why people who can't judge talent or understand development continue to out themselves on a public forum remains one of life's great mysteries. Maybe have a look back at Nathan Murphy's first TWO seasons and get a better understanding, I bet the same people wanted to cut him too!

Most of the list gets the arse during the first quarter of the gameday threads

It hasn’t been the same since Johnny fn Nobes left, were lacking a capable ginger.
Been a glaring deficiency in our list management for a while now. Hopefully were scouting the shady activity areas, indoor venues and sunscreen section of the chemist for a hidden gem

I blame Shane Kerrison, surely if he couldn’t produce talented off spring, he could help sniff a few out, he knows his way around life’s shadows
