All aboard the Ty Train. Will be our first game debutant of 2026.
How you train is how you play, and he looks totally focused on being a quality AFL player.
I'm excited by his potential - he won't die wondering.

He'll get the most out of himself

Maybe not the same quality , but some of the traits of an 18 yo Joel Selwood when he arrived on the scene

Taylor Adams. That’s the vibe I get. Might be the shared physical traits.

But it seems we’ve got another shorter, tough as nails, competitive mid who can win clearances. Only this time he can kick! šŸ˜

Tom Mitchell with a peg!

I think Tay just had a little more propensity to carry the ball and to kick it (much to our disdain) than Mitchell did.

Also a bit more threat up forward than Titch (certainly for the time that he spent with us).

What I’m saying is Tyan could be an improvement over both of them. Can’t complain about that!

I read several comments in the training thread suggesting Tyan trailed the play in the manner that Grundy used to do. I really don't know what to believe about him and will reserve my judgement until I see him play a game.

I agree about O'Bree. Our supporters are always rather too keen about securing a seat in the front of the wagon before it has even moved. 'In Hine we trust' has been long ago ditched and will no doubt be replaced with a similar line about O'Bree. Let's wait till season's end to make a judgement on his recruiting talents.
O'Bree, O'Bree, O'Bree
He gets the best for free.

Swadling frame is quite skinny and might take some time to adjust to senior level
Aside from the 4yr older Anderson Prindable has always looked the one most likely to play in the 1st season because of his body. I have been watching his pre season training very closely and the only slight setback he has had was when trailed in behind Swadling,Saxena,Cochran and McCarthy in the running stakes on monday and Moore took him aside and offered encouragement to which he responded very well. In his last running session he up with the front runners and he has looked very good in match simulation with a very good left foot and not bad extraction for one so young.

I think if his body holds up in this pre season he is a very good chance to be the 1st draftee chosen next season but it augurs very well for the club as he like the others chosen since O,Bree came in look a chance at success,Steele is already looking like 100 to 150 game player.

Reading the reviews of this guy's pre-season, if he's nothing short of Nick Daicos' debut season in 2022 then I'm going to be thoroughly disappointed.

He’s a 100% nuts-and-bolts guy
IMO he’s not Pendles / Bont potential but the guy who gives 100% all the time
- repeat efforts and constantly scraps for the ball - the type of ā€œwantā€ and desire to go again and again and never give up (can you imagine if a few others young players on our list had that same intent?!)
Hoping he becomes the 20-25 possession a game in and under mid that can get to the outside as well
If he does, we’ve done brilliantly
