Young developing mids that can play multiple roles is the best development IMO. It will be interesting to see what Fly does in the match sims over the next few weeks.

Beams was more half forward early days than half back.

I don't think you can have a player at HB unless they have pretty good pace and/or other exceptional qualities

My memory has Beams at half back too. I remember there was a play and he smoked a 30 meter handball effortlessly and that was the first glimpse of his talent.

Sounds like this kid is destined to be a mid, I think we have better options off half forward and whilst I’m all for adding strings to one’s bow, play them in the role best suited and make them work for their spot.

I've just noticed that in this year's AFL Record Season Guide Tyan Prindable is named in the book's Indigenous players section (Listed Indigenous Players Yet To Play A Game). I haven't heard this anywhere previously, but especially as he didn't seem to play with the Flying Boomerangs team a few years back, and since they've been known to make mistakes in that section of the book before, I'm wondering if they have it right!

My meaning was more about not getting too carried away by his potential before he's even played a game.
Sure, he looks promising, but let's wait and see.
But, yeah, I'd take a Norm too.

I’m just hopeful that initially he’s handballing and marking is better than Tyron Lannister.
Tyron might have the short passing covered.

Young developing mids that can play multiple roles is the best development IMO. It will be interesting to see what Fly does in the match sims over the next few weeks.

We never see kids step straight in from U18’s as mids. Not even Nick could. It’s most likely that if he receives an opportunity in 2026 it’ll be when injuries are biting and likely in a peripheral role, but a training role with the midfield seems a good sign.

He did say in his bio that one of his goals was to pee off the end of the world so he and Tyrion have a fair bit in common
