Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
Article reckons he'll be cut next week with the Crows having to pay out part of his salary.

If we don't have the legal grounds to sack him and terminate his contract, I highly doubt Stengle's management would allow any sort of significant contract reduction
Ok, so salary cap paying players that don’t play for another stretch. All this fluff about five resigns recently and tpp is gonna be compromised again. Can we please sack our list manager regardless. Not official but a journo has suggested we are to officially cut ties next week.
Yeah but can he convert this into consistent AFL form? Great to have Rowe as a replacement for Stengle, but why not keep Stengle and play both? Both are our best natural small forwards.Rowe's SANFL form to this point>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Stengle actually
Classic result for AFC. He’s a champ otherwise. The guy got an extension before and then went to town.Yeah but can he convert this into consistent AFL form? Great to have Rowe as a replacement for Stengle, but why not keep Stengle and play both? Both are our best natural small forwards.
I’d argue also that even if Stengle just plays in SANFL Crows, his presence at training will benefit our group of small forwards/defenders as a whole.
He's had his chances and continually ****s up....time to move on, give him the support if it's required but nope time to move on.Yeah but can he convert this into consistent AFL form? He's really not as good as some here would believe.Classic result for AFC. He’s a champ otherwise. The guy got an extension before and then went to town.
He should p,at SANFLand be redrafted if he’s serious. Cutting our ties was the right thing to let that happen.
So is the decision to be made on his misdemeanours? Or how talented he is? If he was a proven elite player, would we be quick to dismiss?Classic result for AFC. He’s a champ otherwise. The guy got an extension before and then went to town.

We paid out his contract and it is absorbed. **** me. I’ve had enough of that non surplus tpp. He's really not as good as some here would believe.
Cutting ties was the correct option if we didn't have to pay him out, we do so it's not.
I think you missed my pointWe paid out his contract and it is absorbed. fu** me. I’ve had enough of that non surplus tpp.
No, I didn’t. You don’t see repercussionI think you missed my point
Oh I do, that's why keeping him is the correct option if it costs us money. No, I didn’t. You don’t see repercussion
Cos one from lower league will take it.Oh I do, that's why keeping him is the correct option if it costs us money.
Why bother paying (another) player to not play.
Nicks has set what he expects from the players to be at the club, that's both on-field and off. Stengle hasn't met those expectations, but the problem arises when they've made it clear to Stengle, he's agreed and promised to do better and then fallen back into the same habits again. At a certain point the club has to cut ties with the player, regardless of what their talent level is if you want those standards to stick across the group. I think if the culture at the club was stronger and we weren't rebuilding from scratch you could perhaps give some more leeway, but it's early in the process and we don't have that strong culture in place, so unfortunately they may have to be harsher than in previous years. So is the decision to be made on his misdemeanours? Or how talented he is? If he was a proven elite player, would we be quick to dismiss?
Not like the Eagles needed anymore help in the SANFL though! At least we won't be paying him to play for another AFL team
Not playing tonight in the League Team trial against the Bays, maybe he's playing in the reserves trial game? Not like the Eagles needed anymore help in the SANFL though!
Coach Sheedy said he'd play league as it had been agreed upon by the 2 clubs. Not playing tonight in the League Team trial against the Bays, maybe he's playing in the reserves trial game?

This whole playing for the Eagles is confusing. What mechanism allows it, what would the SANFL and other SANFL clubs think of our player being used in the Eagles team and not ours. I'm also guessing it can't happen until he's delisted by us.Coach Sheedy said he'd play league as it had been agreed upon by the 2 clubs.
Maybe the SANFL didn't want it until the situation is fully resolved.
