I cant belive there is no thread on the 17s! Anyway...We are half way through the season and the run the finals looks to be very intresting, Beechworth seem to be the team to beat but Barny showed the comp that there no world beaters by knocking them off earlier in the year. Dederang the big improver sitting third at the moment whilst wahgunyah are still a dangerous team going into finals. Any ideas????

Yeah good to see a U17s thread is starting up, i love watching the juniors play there is a lot of talent coming through there. Beechy do sit on top of the ladder but as i've seen i would have to seen Barny are the team to beat and showed that by knocking beechworth who is above them and then knocking off the 3rd place Wahgunyah and 4th place DMB by convincenly amounts
This week the Top of the ladder side Beechworth take on 3rd spot Wahgunyah at beechy which is due to be the match of the round with last time they played goal for goal until half time where beechy just blew them away. Should be an interesting game and maybe there could be a upset? we will have to wait and see.
Chiltern take on KSC at chiltern and should be an interesting game because chiltern has showed very hot form this season by knocking off one of the premiership favorites Barnawartha and KSC is coming off a great win over mitta but showed over the season they are on and off this could let them down this week.
Mitta take on wodonga saints at mitta and should be a easy victory for mitta after showing a heap of improvement over this season.
Rutherglen take on thurgoona at rutherglen and should be a cracker of a game. Rutherglen has put its name forward many times this season by knocking off sides in the top 5 and above them whilst thurgoona is coming off a triumph victory over tallangatta underdogs rutherglen have my tip for this one.
Tallangatta take on the high flying Barnawartha at Tallangatta, after being winless so far this season and has never looked winning one i cant seem them putting up any contest for barnawartha, this should be a mauling by Barny.
DMB come up against Yackandandah at MT beauty which should be a very good game between the number 4 spot on the ladder (DMB) against the number 5 spot (yack). DMB will be looking to bounce back after being pumped by barny whilst yack are starting to pull it together and play good footy. DMB are very strong at home which will play a big advantage this week and i think they should win from there.
Well theres my prediction this week and i really hope this thread can get up and going

It is good to see a thread has started up about the young talent in this league!! i have seen all of the under 17 teams play this year and i think that Barny are the team to beat with Beechworth not far behind then then on a level below them Wahgunyah and DMB who are playing good footy and improving well as the year progresses. i think the finals will be out of these four teams as the others are a fair way behing. i agree with tiger spirit that the wahgunyah v Beechworth game is going to be the match of the round. Beechworth have the slight advantage as it is their home game but i think the young lions who are playing well in their first year in this league could cause and upset after two confidence boosting wins over Tall and Ruth.
