ive got a feeling that the Werribee/Wyndhamvale battle wont be as close as everyone expects. We have some big ins for this week considering the jets have a bye and im tipping the result will be much the same as last time (15 goals).... in saying this who do you think will be vital players for both sides?

with players from the jets coming back, i dont think it will make werribee win by anymore. they jets boys play for jets, not for werribee. If anythin dropping werribee A players so that some jets players can play, will make werribee less able to play their fluid game style as the Jets will want to play their own game. Which will help vales massively, as they will have more of a chance of getting the ball and actually winning the game.
Vales over Werribee by 10 points.
Willi to knock of Hoppers by 15 points.
Altona to beat Colts by 10 goals.
Spotty to demolish Glenordenry by 20 goals!

After this round Altona play Vales in what should be the fight for 2nd place. If Vales lose to werribee and then lose to Altona the following week, their chance of 2nd spot will be gone as the will be 2 wins behind Altona. With this fact, Vales will be burning for a win and should help them against wezza this week!

btw. who are the players coming back from the jets for werribee?

any1 know who is playin for willy frm jets. i heard carr is. any1 else? still think we will win no matter who they get back. doubt many of em will play anyway.

my tips are as follows...
werribee to beat vales by 12 goals
hoppers to account for willy by 20 points.
altona to destroy colts by over 100
spotty to massacre glenordinairy by over 100.

big call and i disagree, i don't see how bringing back the best players in the region and dropping the lesser players in the team negatively impacts a team.

the lesser players would normally have a minimal impact on game anyway and your saying that bringing back potential game winners would make a team worse?

the jets boys have also spent the majority of their junior careers playing with their local club and would be able to slip back in no worries

although i doubt many if any of the jets boys will play locally this week so this topic is probably unecessary.

I'm lead to believe only Luke Klein-Breteler will return for werribee. Maybe McLellan but not 100% sure.
Hardly enough to rip apart the fabric of an unbeaten team.
Also no certain word as yet, but myself and Majak are pretty keen to pull on the Vales colours.
Jack Fitzpatrick looks unlikey at this stage however ;)

And to Footylad...Jake Carr will play for Willy again this week and Dyl Conway wanted to but i don't think he will.
 
Supposably there are problems with the umpires again, so games may not go ahead this week.

But then again this happened earlier in the season and games went ahead so who knows.
 
No 18A's game now. Altona taking the points over Port Colts as Port Colts dont want to play with club umpires. Not sure how the situation is with all the other clubs though.

hoppers 112 def willy 69. good result. hoppers had good lead at half time, willy fought bak in the 3rd to be 1 point down at 3 quarter time then hoppers kicked away in the last.
 
big week in footy should be a big game vales vs altona altona might have won the last 2 games but this could be a close one it certainly could come down to who gets 2nd spot with vales having a pretty easy draw in the next couple of weeks and dont have to vs werribee again which is a plus so big game this week

big game this week between spotty and willy last time they played it was a nailbiter with willy getting the win in the last 30 seconds this time its at spottys ground both teams will be eager to go should be a great match

Interesting to see Lachie Fairley and Jake Carr named for the Jets.
 
both on the extended bench both playing for willy also conway and casley now playing willy bcoz thy have school footy but are only playing a half
 
hoppers beat glenorden 128 to 27.. massive game next week hoppers vs altona. the winner shuld claim 2nd spot nd hold it for the rest of the year going by the fixture
