It may have something to do with a premiership horsey

An underage premiership trophy dosent necessarily indicate a particular clubs strength. But if you want to go donw that track, when St Bernards won their u/19 trophy, both the Senior team and the reserves also made the GF. Thats strength.
De La have been perenial yoyo'ers in the seniors for years. The fact that St Bernards have stayed in A grade now for many years (with the vast majority of players being old boys) proves how strong the system is down at the pit.

Yeah we're talking about the under 19 competition; recently, given de la's retention of the majority of it's player and it's flag last year, it can be said that it's depth looks superior to that of bernards at the moment.
Luckily footy, particularly the 19's, fluctuates plenty across the years, so we'll see.
Personally, i think you're a bernards lover so are biased. I shall remember this throughout the season.

Im curious horsey, is Bernard's captain from last year - the guy who carried the team into the finals, still playing under 19s this year?

How unusual to see bernards have a seemingly endless amount of confidence in their own aility. Will be interesting to see if they really can take the next step this year, because they were a fair way off DLS and OX in 06.

In all my years of playing and watching football, i have yet to see a single player carry a team through to a finals series. Therefore i have no idea who you are talking about!

Uni Blues played Old Scotch 2 weeks ago and it the result was hard to tell, some say a draw, some say a 1 point win to Uni, others a 1 point win to Scotch. So basically, confusion won out...

Both teams were very rusty and i doubt it has much bearing on the proper season results.

I know of
Uni Blues vs Bernards
and
Old Brighton vs Old Scotch (this Sunday morning)!
