Too much is read into results in knockout ties imo.

Shit result for United but shit happens.

Think #lolmou and United are a bad fit, but today's result doesn't change that at all. If he was good enough for them this morning he's good enough for them now.
STOP BEING REASONABLE AT A TIME LIKE THIS

As if United fans want Mourinho as their manager. With that squad they should be doing a lot better. He plays super negative football and they’re barely getting results. How much money does he need? He could go to PSG and still have the same problems.
Not sure united fans can defend this, it was a terrible display this morning, we’ve spent so much money and still play shit football and crash out in the last 16 at home against Sevilla. Our player ratings says it all, all our top signings and big earners getting 4’s, these are the games they ******* step up but Mourinho’s style just zaps any consistesny from their game with the way we set up to play, just let the players have freedom to play the game ffs.

Embarrassing and bitterly disappointed this morning.

Very well said. He'll get the FA cup playing that way but the league and CL are beyond him

Well he is 5 points clear in second place so what does that say for Klopp, Poch and Conte?
I don’t think they’re comparable. Neither of those three manage clubs that have the prestige or spending power that United does.

Conte is also having a nightmare season. He has lost the players and has mentally checked out. Tottenham have been playing home games this season at a stadium they’re notoriously bad at + look at their budget. One of the players on your bench tonight probably cost more than their starting XI. Liverpool have an inferior squad to United so five points is about right. They also lost their best player mid season (whilst you guys picked up Sanchez) and their midfield, defence and depth is bang average.

United have underachieved with their squad this season. I don’t know how you can spin it any other way. If you’re happy with where you sit right now because of Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool, then your standards have tapered. You need to look at the team above you to get a better understanding of where you’re really at.

Agree completely but apparently we still need to spend more, how much more do we need? As you said, the prestige of the club and spending power is beyond those just below us but we should be doing a lot better, just not good enough.

United being second in the league is definitely the strangest thing about this season. They did have that very good start but for the most part spurs and Liverpool have been far better. They have played well in recent games though but absolutely stunk again tonight

Man United’s last few games have been very good, but that has to be a flattening result. Lucky to be at 0-0 after the first leg, but then at home #lolmou doesn’t make any attacking subs until his team goes 1-0 down late on?

It is comparable because posters here continually say how much better Spurs and Liverpool are to United, you can't have it both ways.
