City will challenge it in the courts, and not sure FFP would hold up in a court of law and could well disintegrate. Then what happens, the big clubs press ahead with a protective European super league and everything is ******. Could get juicy this

FFP has been cleared by European authorities. City signed up for it. Dont see that approach working.

CAS appeal will happen. Past appeals have had varying degrees of success. If that fails there is little they can do but accept the ban.

I'm going to be in Melbourne for the final - any recommendations as to where to go to watch the game?
  1. in the city centre somewhere
  2. must serve alcohol to calm the nerves :beercheers:
  3. big screen
  4. won't be frowned upon for going nuts when Spurs win :trophy:
Any suggestions would be appreciated

Insanely jealous.
You should definitely go. I would have gone if not for the astronomical ticket prices.

Sell it to a friend who would really appreciate it.

Win/win.

The thought did cross my mind. Especially cos i could get 10k+ from it, and that funds my trip to Euro next year. But i couldnt do it i think. Mostly because i got it for free and it feels wrong to profit from it.

Pretty much decided that im not going. Gonna give it to someone who could never afford it otherwise. He'll have to come up with his own travel and accomodation expenses which wont be an issue.

I don't mean sell it exorbitantly to your friend/person you know.

Ask them how much they pay, come to an agreement, voila.

Travel and accommodation is still pretty pricey..

If I won or got given a ticket I'd stump up for flights and accom

Sure but if we're saying give it to someone who can't afford a ticket, I reckon flights + accomodation would come reasonably close to costing as much as the ticket.

The thing is, the ones that can afford it, they wont blink at paying even 20k for it. If i was able to sell it to one of those fellas itd have to be to the highest bidder. If not im opening a can of worms and i can already picture the reaction. 'Why him, i thought we were closer.' 'We're family bro' etc etc.

The ones who cant afford so much and would need a cheap arrangement, the most they could afford for the tic id say is 1 or 2k. May as well just give it to them and they spend it on expenses.

Im not thinking about how much money im missing out on here. I got it as a gift in good faith. So i dont consider it as mine to sell. If im not going, i should give it away the same way. Also as i mentioned earlier, its just not an option to sell the tic. Just not worth the damage in reputation if it gets out.

Travel and accommodation is still pretty pricey..

They're based in Malaysia and Singapore. I had a look. Flights and accomdation around 3k for 5 nights. Bargain.

It’s the combo of the two that’d be too much for some. Could do flights an accom for under $2.5k from here

I can’t do that. I remember the England v Brazil game in 2002. That was about eight am kick off here and it just isn’t the same. ******* half asleep. But I’ve never been much of a morning person
I remember that game. It was a Friday evening in Melbourne. My work setup a huge screen in the cafeteria and catered the event. It was a great night.
