It's not even a contest anymore is it? Messi >>>>>>> Ronaldo.

I always found Messi to be a greater footballer than Ronaldo. But if there was no Messi, no other footballer on earth would come close to matching Ronaldo’s individual stats. It shows how great Ronaldo and Messi both are.

I always found this debate to be childish anyway. Both footballers should be appreciated and it will be a sad day when they have both retired.

Agreed. I do have Messi ahead of Ronaldo but it is splitting hairs.

The GOAT discussion is really, to my mind a group of 4 players...let's call them the Mt Rushmore of Football. Pele, Messi, Ronaldo and Maradona.

It's impossible to rank them.

This is the first time I have looked up his wage and you’re not wrong. Apparently on close to £900,000 a week. Most big clubs could afford his transfer fee but not many would pay a single player that wage.

These weekly wages for the Manchester clubs are off Spotrac. It's hard to know if it's accurate. But if it is, the biggest disparity wouldn't be Haaland v Sancho. De Gea is paid nearly four times as much as Ederson!

Kevin De Bruyne £400,000
David De Gea £375,000
Erling Haaland £375,000
Jadon Sancho £350,000
Raphael Varane £340,000
Carlos Casimiro £300,000
Jack Grealish £300,000
Anthony Martial £250,000
John Stones £250,000
Bruno Fernandes £240,000
Phil Foden £225,000
Rodrigo Hernández Cascante £220,000
Antony dos Santo £200,000
Marcus Rashford £200,000
Ederson Moraes £100,000

Haaland scored more goals than Nunez has all competition (and 1 of those was a 2 inch tap in that was already going in) and yet cost less.
🙄 Haaland has scored more goals than everyone all competition, so why single out Nunez? Mbappe cost PSG 145m-170m, why don't you have a crack at him not scoring as much as Haaland? What about Mudryk?
By the way, who is second in the scoring charts?

Haaland is a freak, its a totally needless comparison.

Because it triggers jod

Also mbappe scored 7 this season which last time I checked is greater than 5.

Mudryk isn't a striker.

Are you also aware Nunez has the sixth best minutes per goal in the comp, better than Mbappe, Messi, Vinicius Jr, Lewandowski, Giroud, Sane, Choupo Moting, Mahrez, Rodrygo, Joao Mario, Taremi.....
He's also number 1 in goals stolen when he tapped over VVD's header (while being nearly offside)

Klopp was just asked, “If something remarkable is going to happen tonight, do you have to score that first goal?”

Not leaving Jurgen much to work with there. 😂
Journalists who ask stupid questions like that should be fired on the spot. Real Madrid didn't score the first goal in the first leg, didn't seem to hurt them

Does anyone find it weird how opposition players talk to each other and cover their mouths? Are they giving away their own teams tactics and don’t want anyone to lip read? 😂

Might just want to have a private conversation.

Various accusations in American football over the years of lip reading coaches sideline calls. Set plays in football these days are more organised so can understand teams being more protective
