I have often wondered why there is a 15 minute break from half time to the start of the 2nd half (that makes sense) but only a 5 minute break from full time to the start of extra and then only a one or two minute changeover from half time of extra time to the 2nd half of extra time.

So there is a 15 minute break for 45 minutes of football but then only a 6-7 minute break for the next 75 minutes of a match if it goes to a penalty shootout.
