If this was a World Cup match, the injury time would be a third half of football.
Only five minutes is ludicrous. Well played United, changed the tactics and although the goals were a bit lucky they looked a lot more dangerous than before. Still look rather open in midfield and at the back themselves though.

And I hope Union Berlin win it.

Is a small club from Berlin going to topple Germanys giants and win the Bundesliga?

Union Berlin, one of the stories of the season, and of the past 20 years. A club that is so loved by its fans that they've literally bled for the club.
Union Berlin were founded in 1966, preceding FC Olympia Oberschonewelde which was founded in 1906 but shut down due to WW2.

Founded in 1966, the club was apart of the East German Republic, they had a big rivalry with BFC Dynamo, a club supported by the Stasi. As a result, Union were often yo-yoing between the leagues due to not being a favored club.

Following reunification, Union Berlin spent 10 years trying to get into the 2. Bundesliga, while facing multiple financial difficulties. The club won promotion to the 2. Bundesliga in 93 and in 94, but were denied a license to play due to financial problems. In 1997, the club was almost bankrupt.

It was in 2000/01 season the club finally reached the 2. Bundesliga, and in the same season, made it to the final of the DFB-Pokal, going up against Schalke, who they lost to 2- 0. Their stay in the 2. Bundesliga didn't last long, and by 2005/06, they were playing in the 4th division of German football.

In 18/19, after 29 years of trying since German reunification, Union Berlin was promoted to the Bundesliga, becoming just the 6th club from East Germany to reach the top league.

As mentioned earlier, Union Berlin is run by the fans for the fans. The club won the Fan Experience Award in 2015 for their "World Cup living room" in which fans were invited to bring their sofas to the ground for the whole of the 2014 World Cup, in order to enjoy the televised matches with fellow supporters.

In 2004, in order to secure enough money to pay for the club's license for the Fourth Division, fans organized a campaign called "Bleed for Union". One element of the campaign was fans donating blood to Berlin hospitals, and giving the money they received from the blood bank to the club.

In 2008, Union Berlins stadium, Alten Forsterei, didn't meet the leagues standards. More than 2000 fans devoted over 140,000 hours of unpaid labor to help rebuild and fix the stadium.

Since being in the Bundesliga the past 4 years Union Berlin have had one impressive ride so far. They finished their first season in 11th, their second season in 7th, and their 3rd season in 5th. The club now finds themselves in a very unexpected position of fighting both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund for the title.

Building is awesome but ultimately if they don't win anything it's all a bit pointless. It's nice to play good football but they're playing to win silverware.

Dunno if I'd say it's pointless. Delivering mornings like today for United fans would still be pretty enjoyable even if they don't win the Europa league.
