friendly results

Portugal 0-0 Spain - Portugal hit the cross bar twice, each time the ball bouncing off the line. Star studded talent the Portuguese. Massively stacked squad.
France 7-1 Ukraine - Limitless talent the French themselves
Holland 0-1 Mexico
Italy 6-0 Moldova - 5-0 at half time. Dangerous under Mancini and he's kick started the re-birth of Italian football
Germany 3-3 Turkey - Germans concede yet another stoppage time goal
Switzerland 1-2 Croatia - Good come from behind win by the Croat's with a late goal. Good to see them get a result.
England 3-0 Wales - England continue to put in solid displays. Can't wait to see them on home soil next year and will go deep. Not on the level of France tho etc
Belgium vs Ivory Coast - Will be contending for the title at the Euro's if they stay close to full strength.
Russia 1-2 Sweden

You would think France and Belgium would be favourites. England have some good players but are limited by Southgate's tactical inadequacies.

Hopefully there will be some supporters allowed into the games. It's a funny tournament with it being held all over Europe then the semis and final at Wembley.

Germany should have killed them yet barely scraped over. Similar pattern when they win, if they're not squandering last minute leads or getting done at the death.

Spain 1-0 Switzerland.

France-Portugal massive headliner for tomorrow with the French gunning for blood after the defeat on home soil 2 years ago. Doesn't matter now as they're world champs, but they'd love a scalp nonetheless. Portugals squad is the strongest I've ever seen it and they're in great stead for the next 5-10 years boasting success at youth level once more after defeating Italy in the under 23 final last year. Along with already established house hold names, they form a formidable force and will be contending for silverware no doubt in the coming years.

Absolute jizz worthy!!!

Croatia-France next week and Italy-Holland. Thank you God you magnificent bastard.

Looks like DCL leading the line for England tonight

He's in great form so might as well put him in if there's any doubt on Kane. I'm expecting Rashford on the left and Sancho on the right. Would prefer Grealish to Sancho, but it's the players and formation behind them that worry me.

Southgate lol.

what looks like a 5-3-2 with 3 RB’s. Not much creativity in midfield to supply the two up front.

Maitland-Niles stiff, as 4th RB he just missed a starting spot.

Southgate seems to have a very rigid view on how England should play - regardless of performances and who is available. Insists on wing backs even though there wasn't a left sided defender in the squad. Plays two holding mids even against poor opponents like Iceland. Grealish was man of the match against Wales, couldn't get on the pitch this morning.

Having said that, after a dodgy first 30 minutes they played alright. Some good movement and ball retention. Meunier should have been sent off. Kane and Rashford missed very good chances. Walker was England's best player but De Bruyne was easily the best player on the park.

Got to admit a little surprised to see Mount as MOM. Just didn’t see it in him. Nor Rice tbh. Southgate is way too conservative, I’m not even sure he has a plan. Results like this I suppose will keep him in the job a little while longer.

From a Belgian perspective, I thought we were a class above England in the first half, despite missing 2 of our front 3, and should've been up by more at half time. The penalty given away by Meunier was totally unnecessary and Mount's deflected shot was just unlucky. Bit disappointed with the collective performance in the 2nd half, it was like drive or energy was missing. And that's probably what this Nations League deserves. The match definitely felt like a friendly.

How the hell did Spain lose to Ukraine? They were totally dominant. 72% possession. 21 shots to 2. Traore was Spain's best player with his new sensible haircut. Ramos ended the game at centre forward!

Great to see 17,000 fans in the stadium.
