Agree. I want nothing more than to see his lights get turned out, but can't see it happening.
Maybe Chimaev is our best chance at this point. But he's not even ranked in the divison yet.

I'm guessing he was hoping to bank some early rounds with some kicks and save his gas tank for later. I think that's the real f’ed dilemma for anyone facing Adesanya, do you want into his counter or be patient?

What's the point of having a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu if you don't actually use the skills in your fight, especially against a guy who isn't anywhere near the level on the ground. So dumb from the Costa camp.

Didn’t mix anything up. Never looked like even faking to shoot for a take down.

He's good and what's scary is i don't think he's peaked yet.

Haha, his take down attempts stays the same. Zero.

I believe you looked at the fight a little too much on paper, the black belt is significant but Paulo is a stand up fighter versing a better stand up fighter.
He doesn't really have wrestling credentials, I see the idea but its not his game.

185 is such a weak division, as is 205. Colby should call out Izzy, Usman (but wont) should move up. Easy title shots if theyre loud enough

Meanwhile Izzy should call out Jan. Beating Cannonier does nothing, does anyone think hes that good? Izzy could be double champ by February.

Id pretty confidently pick Izzy over Jan. Faster, better cardio, higher output, higher level striker, better feints and kicks, better with his range and timing. He would pick him off me thinks

You could say all of those things about Max Holloway and Francis Ngannou.

Not saying that Izzy couldn't but he ain't ever faced power like that in octagon.

Bad example because both Chins have probably gone but look at what happened to the former champions in Weideman and Rockhold at 205. Both got flattened by the contenders. Blachowitz broke Rockholds jaw. It's a different level of power.

He craps on about being the goat a lot and i don't think you can be in the discussion anymore as a 1 division champ.

He's 6'4" and lanky as * already so no way he can go down, if he wants to be the goat he needs to go for it.
