I have no idea with Jimmy. His striking looked powerful and his BJJ was very good early. He submitted Paul ****ing Craig who's s gun on the ground. Now nothing in his game looks good but I suspect it's more mental.

CKB just seem to have great game plans for their fighters and being around Volk and Izzy's mindset must be next level. Two guys who are arguably the greatest of all times in their divisions yet still turn up and help their teammates, that gyms just awesome.

Reminds me of when they were just feeding scrubs to Nunes and Shev to keep them busy.

There's absolutely nothing Strickland does that says he even has a single chance against Izzy. Izzy would have to break his leg kicking him to lose.
 
Enjoy the promo and press conference because the main event is going to be a sh1t boring, one sided beat down.

Izzy gonna phone it in for the easy collect 💰 I’ll tune in when he fights Du Plessis and/or Khamzat. Proper challenges.

The problem is I don't really see Izzy going for the finish, he'll be smart enough to stay right out of any possible trouble. A beat down it will be and probably a 50-45 one

Yep boring calf kicks, one two combos, feints, parries and the occasional flashy wheel or question mark kick to keep everyone from fully falling asleep.

Izzy’s got his method down to a fine art by now. If Strickland tries to enter danger zone territory (which I doubt he will) he stands a 90% chance of getting separated from consciousness.

Izzy too tall, too quick, too good.

I should add I don't blame Izzy for fighting safe, it's up to his opponent to find a way to make him engage, which Poetan did of course, worked once and didn't work the next fight.
 
Rough looking card this one. Good chance for some Antipodean KOs though, notably Tai, Pedro, Tafa and Ulberg.

I think Izzy needs and will be going for the KO. This is not only an ideal matchup for him, it's an ideal one to add to the highlight reel. Strickland is a very effective journeyman but absolute fodder for elite strikers. He doesn't hit hard and Izzy has a very good chin, so it's very much low risk high reward.

Understatement saying this is a rough card. This is a fight night with a higher price tag

Think Pedro and Ulberg decent chances at being upset while Tai and Tafa good chances at winning.

I don’t know what Pedro walks around at but he should go up to HW, he seems a bit slow for LHW. He’s prob got a deal with Tuivasa that he’ll stay there, they’d actually be a good match up, Tai by KO though
 
Tuivasa v Volkov should be a good crack. I like Volkov in that one. Rangey big f…ker. Coming off two impressive stoppage wins.

I actually don’t mind Sanko in that roaming reporter role but as a commentator not sure.

That threesome is ****ing horrendous though.

She might go ok.
I've never been huge on Anik, unless he has say Rogan etc (a decent team with him). And DC is a putrid s.o.b who does nothing but cause pain to my ears.

Yeh for me it’s the combo, Anik is good generally but with DC they just grate on the ears.

I think Sanko is alright but at least we don’t have DC and Rogan, those two together shit me, DC seems a lot better when Joe isn’t there

DC sucks on commentary. You can tell he's reading from a page whenever he's giving a breakdown of a fighter lol
 
Feel like I couldn't give less of a **** about who commentates except for when it's Fitzgerald cause it just reminds of no crowd apex cards

Don't think the commentary has ever bothered me one little bit in a fight. Rogan and DC going nuts during a big moment is iconic and perfect for those crazy knockouts. Atleast it's authentic
