It's probably a testament to the level of Izzy but outside Pereria * has almost all of his title fights just seemed boring. Maybe Costa had some hype before it but until Dricus came along that division has been flat as *
I think the second fight with Whittaker tested him.At middleweight outside of Pereira only Gastelum has tested him. That was a barnburner of a fight n 2019.

I ment more so since he became champion. The Gastelum fight was his hardest fight including Pereria 1. As champion though until Poatan there's no one that's been that exciting to watch fight him.At middleweight outside of Pereira only Gastelum has tested him. That was a barnburner of a fight in 2019.
Yeah maybe, but like it was a test like Whittaker could maybe sneak him on points. But Izzy also dropped him first round. It never felt like Rob would clearly win, just do enough to stop IzzyI think the second fight with Whittaker tested him.

That fight convinced me about Israel, really saw the dog in him, reckon he won the last 10-8, really dug deep.
InjuredDid i miss something, i though Dricus had next?
Injured
for IzzyConor says he king of the lightweights still and is fighting every week. Who cares what fighters say lolIzzy said he didn’t want the fight, I mean was a quick turnaround required after beating Whittaker, I’m sure he’s banged up at least and wants to be atfor Izzy

Dricus said he was injured
Izzy's a great team mate and a sick fighter, ****ing w***er of a bloke though can't stand him lol.Izzy wouldn't lie to me!
He did the Halfcast Podcast recently (was Tuivasa and Pedro, now it's Kara-France and Pedro) and it's worth a listen, he's a real team player for CKB that's for sure.

Genuine when it suits him. Other times changes the way he acts to suit his own narrative such as calling Whittaker a fake Maori but then storming the cage to call Dricus the N word after Dricus said he doesn't train in Africa ( which is true )Fair enough. I must say I'm a massive fan for a lot of reasons: he's a gun obviously, high activity, went up in weight, didn't hesitate to rematch Pereira, looks after his teammates etc. He's a weird guy but I feel like he's being genuine, at least you can say that for him, he's no Covington in that respect.

He's never given Whittaker a single second of credit in the division and now considers the Pereria fights finished because he won the latest one.
Covingtons better, atleast you know which Colby you're getting, with Izzy you never know if the arrogant arseh*le is turning up or the humble one etc
Yeah he commented on the Dricus cage storming in the podcast, DDP really pissed him off that's for sure.
He did mention Whittaker and how he regrets some of the earlier s**t talking he did to him, I feel like he respects Rob but can't admit it yet. He's polarising no doubt about it but we all watch his fights that's for sure.
I also like I said can't stand Izzy, but any Australian who isn't Whittaker would be stupid not to train at CKB. Jimmy Crute should get his ass down there asap to learn the mental side of fighting
Gone gun shy ever since Hill slept him badly. He needs a mental reset. Seems to be all or nothing and as soon as he gets jabbed he can't find his range at all. Needs to work on being mentally there in the fight because all his training seems to go out the window the second he gets in thereYeah Crute needs a different camp or something. I don’t think going up in weight or down would work for him, he’s sort of that mid range big fella, he’s in a tough spot, his last loss was a shocking one for him to have.
And yeah having the best gym in the world across the ditch is a no brainer

Mate I love Crute. Famously went way overboard on here a few years ago I how good hed be. I just find it strange his kickboxing is so bad, when he's exclusively trained with a world class kick boxer. I'm sure in the gym he moves his head and is elite, as soon as the lights come on he forgets how to move it. Looks like a heavyweightYeah he seems very punchable, he finds it hard to see them coming I reckon. That's why I was glad he was sparring down at our (boxing) gym, he's trying to work on it at least.
His grappling is very good but he has been subbed a few times, yeah I dunno, he's still my boy ha ha
