Safe to say Alex has surpassed Izzy by a country mile.
I don't know about that. Israel is still a legend and one of the best we've seen. Yes Pereria has two titles in weight classes, but Izzy still had 6 defenses, should be 7 with an intern.

Recency bias, but Pereria would be the second best LHW ever, I hope he defends 1/2 times and tries for heavyweight.

Gonna tell my Kid Khalil is the goat and just cut the last 2 minutes off his last two fights.

I'm a huge fan, but is he cutting too much weight? He seems to just fall short of the only 2 elite LHW I feel

Pyfer legit as well. Thought he was ****ing insane taking Abus down, submitting him is nuts. I think he's gone from potential to one of the dudes now. Abus is a dude.

Zalal with a huge win as well, fresh face for the division, apart from a Topuria loss which set him back a bit he's starting to tear through guys. Emmett is hugely under rated.

Sandhagen probably did as good as anyone would on the night. You can't spend 25 minutes defending 120 takedowns for a guy so dynamic.

Weird thing is those shots would of slept most guys in the division, he would of submitted anyone else. Sandhagen actually had some great sequences of hand fighting and stopping Merab at points, rallied, but Jesus Merab deserves next crack at Volk if he wants it.

And Alex, Jesus, those leg kicks within a minute not only broke his toes, but absolutely killed Magomeds leg to change his stance, then decided to mix it up and use his right hand to punish him,

He's compromised big Ank within 40 seconds. That's ****ing nuts. He usually waits a minute or two. I think he's just rushed it which led to him injuring his foot however.

I think somehow if Magomed is smarter, realizes his leg is chewed and tries to shoot instead of box in an awkward stance. He might of lasted a round and possibly won.

Two weight classes and Pereira's competition has been higher.

Disagree here but funnily enough Pereria/Adesanyas best opponents have been each other the probably Jan.

I think Whittaker is a tougher out then what Pereria has ever faced.

Jan was a dog back in his day, his leg kicks were absolute filth and put a lot of fighters out to the farm

Unfortunately he did his shoulder at 40 years of age and he's probably done.
Yeah and Izzy got stomped by him while Alex beat him ( toughest fight outside Izzy)

Think the separator is Alex is a true LHW, the fact he could go down and beat Izzy is incredible because Izzy ain't beating him at LHW

I would say Israel fought at his closer walking weight his career only cutting minimal weight. I actually know his usual walking weight back in his prime and he didn't cut very hard during his career. However he's not chance nowdays being closer to 100kgs day to day.

Plus I think Israel should of tried cut to welterweight but slightly respected/more worried about Usman then Jan IMO

Pereria was always cutting a lot and it's insane he was at middleweight. Not many people are bigger than Izzy at 83.

I also don't think Perera could hit middleweight in his later years.

So multiple weight champions is yeah, impressive. But I feel like it's sometimes off because the jump from lightweight/welter/middle as a natural middleweight/welterweight is a lot harsher then going from a bigger welterweight to LHW.

IF he went to heavyweight, yeah I'll eat shit because it's insane what Cormier did. Because anyone who's gone LHW to HV have gone from fighting guys and having to cut to 95, compared to dudes who don't have to cut and drop from 135 to 120 because they are working cardio .

And thus finishes my shitposting ruining any blowing of Pereria

I think yeah he should be absolutely adored, same as Izzy both never asked for long breaks, fought injured (Israel was very compromised against DDP, he could not kick at all and that is absolutely also his game)

Plus Israel was slightly figured out eventually (all the best do, all his knockouts (bar Pereria) have been right hand counters when he's pressed and pressured against the fence)

If people like Alex better, that's cool, but to say miles ahead. I think is like, Israel was on his second turn of cleaning out the division before Strickland shocked him.

Certain weight jumping in UFC is so much more impressive then almost all boxing weigh jumping however (Minus Crawford, who's won titles at the equivalent of bantamweight and then winning titles at welterweight) or my personal crush Usyk.
