Hendricks didn't look tentative early on IMO. He landed a nice right hook along the cage and got himself in to position to score a takedown. I think the tone of the fight changed when Thompson landed those two side kicks, one to the body then one to the head. When the second one hit him I remembered thinking he looked surprised and confused. After that, he seemed to go away from chasing hard after Thompson and was just plodding forward trying to get in to range which made things easy for Thompson.

Agree that Rory would likely be his hardest match up if he doesn't get a title shot. No idea who I would favour in that fight!

I honestly don't think he looked tentative right from the start, it was only when he started doing what he does - in heavy swinging and getting caught off position a few times that he started to look tentative. He obviously didn't take a few shots too well when trying to press the action and started to shell up.
