The other issue is they copyright strike the hell out of any halfway recent games. I managed to upload the Eric Mackenzie game from 2013 with a copyright claim but no takedown, but the 2017 EF proved a stretch to far and was immediately claimed and deleted.

If they tighten the screws on that, it’ll kill a lot of replays on YouTube.

Oh man, it's a nightmare. I started podcasting and we're 3 episodes in. We watch an old game and talk all the way through it (I know, it's all the rage these days... ). Was ok doing the 2018 Grand Final upload, but the 2010 GF we did for episode 2 just could not get it uploaded without a full block. I tried feathering, transparency... urgh. I finally gave up and just did it with no vision. I managed to get episode 3 by the block by feathering and moving the video (so slow it doesn't matter... the feathering is strong so while it's not great for purely watching the game, it attaches vision to what we talk about). It's been super frustrating.

Hey mate, reckon you could post some instruction on how you actually get that link? I have no idea how. I'd love to be able to grab some non-Eagles games tis all.

Right now to do it you'd need a Telstra account or AFL Live Pass. I'm not sure if there is a way to make the game load without being logged in with Live Pass or Telstra.
Basically find the game you want via https://www.afl.com.au/video/match-replays
Open the Developer Tools (Chrome) or Web Console (Firefox) and go to the Network section. Open the game and look for the URL that ends in .m3u8 and then copy the link.
Paste in a new tab and get rid of the .m3u8 and "hls-" bits and play. You should also easily be able to download the file from there

Yeah, think I'm screwed. :/ Can't access Live Pass via website, only via the app, because I have a Telstra phone account through my work and need that login which they won't give me.

Anyone able to go through and find links? Maybe if I just post certain games? I wouldn't want every game, and I could provide a list.

Some very tense and down to the wire games from a variety of seasons here. Definitely not all wins either, a good mix to keep you on your toes. Not all of them are classics as such (although some definitely are), but plenty of tension in them.

Updated with 2019 and some pre-season games from previous years.
Any game highlighted in yellow means its stream only (meaning you can watch, but can't download the direct file). The Yellow games will play directly in Edge or Safari. Chrome and Firefox will download a file that can be played in VLC.

That would be illegal, not to mention take an large amount of storage (If 1 quarter is around 600mb, then you'd needing 55gb just for 1 home and away season).
