Should we get rid of them?
To me, they are a constant source of irritation, and make the umpire's heads bigger. IMO, watching the game was a lot better when you could not hear them. Are they even necessary? Perhaps one could answer that by saying that it gives clarity, considering the never ending rule changes.
And is it just me, or do all umpires seem to sound the same?
