Rooboy, you are so bitter against the mighty Bombers, that belting they gave to your Roos must have really ripped your heart out.
Oh & please this time try & be a bit more original with your reply, instead of that tired argument about cheating, because it has nothing to do with this topic.
You didn't answer my question about being bitter against the Bombers, anyway the number of possessions is not always an indicator of how well someone plays on the day, it's what they do with them. A player who plays a tagging role & keeps his opponents possessions down, while picking up some himself, can be one of the best on ground, possessions aren't the be all & end all of how well a player plays on the day. I thought you would know this being a great footy supporter.
A question PROUD SANDIE... should start "are you" not "you are"...
I will answer you anyway...
No not bitter at all... having a shit year and still finishing a respectable 4th... I am very happy... when your mob fall over they finish 14th... North have never been that low....
good to see you picked one example out of many just highlighting your jealousy of essendon
what about round 21 essendon v bulldogs
chris grant was the difference and didnt get a vote
and im sure there was many more
i thought three votes should go to the player that has the greatest influence on the result in that case then no hird shoulnt have got 3
long should have - 5 goals in the last quarter but hird should of got 2
i just love james so much
that blonde hair blowing in the wind, those tight shorts, its a shame i didnt umpire essendon every week,
he would have 2 or 3 brownlows by now
Hey Rooboy, no response to Drakey eh? We may have finished 14th a few years back, but we'll always play in Melbourne. Enjoy watching your beloved Sydneyroos on TV in a few years soft**** (with apolagies to Shins, I'm just sick of this dickhead).
Hird started with Simon Goodwin on him and kicked Essendons opening couple of goals although I felt he was actually well held for most of the game by goodwin,
so yes i do agree with you Rooboy he didnt do anything special to turn the game, must be the way he talks to the umpires
While we're talking about umpires - this is direct from afl.com.au
BRETT Allen has today been named as All-Australian umpire for the second consecutive year, joining Darren Goldspink (1993 and 1995) as the only person to be given the honour twice.
AFL Umpiring Director Jeff Gieschen said Allen had a very consistent season, which saw him rewarded with his second consecutive Grand Final appearance in last Saturday's match between Essendon and Melbourne.
Allen, 34, has umpired 175 matches since his debut in 1992 and will now tour Ireland as Australia's representative umpire to officiate in the International Rules Series between Australia and Ireland next month.
