We just have to put three or four extra goals on the board to make up for the umpires I guess.

And this is why I won't post in this thread again, as people like you have this mentality 48 hours from a game that we will be done in by the umpires.
In other words, you are just waiting with your yellow and black blinkers on to dispute each and every decision they make.
It's clear you - and others - cannot view the game objectively when your mind are already made up pre-game.
Very disconcerting!

If the umpires do a good job,I will not say a word.
I will say the umpires did a great job with the deliberate oob rule last week so kudos to them for that.

I have no issue of the umpires making mistakes in general play. No one cares that Cotchin was held off the ball in the first quarter. No one cares that Fyfe was blocked twice at centre bounces.. In fact, if that's where they are going to make the mistakes due to human error etc - I have no issue with it all. It happens every week, to every team. Some benefit more than others. However, when clear umpiring errors are made that result in a score, that is what my issue is about. If it is undeniably a free kick - I have no issue.

The Grey point was a clear behind according to a couple of supporters that were behind the goals and saw it live.

In the last quarter - Grigg missed from 35M, Castagna from 25M and Jack from 40M out in the last quarter. Both teams played 3 crap quarters. Walters and Hill ravaged our onballers. We played the worst 21 seconds in our history. We may have picked the wrong side at selection. I don't blame our loss entirely on the umpires, but they sure as hell gave Freo a 15 minute rub of the green that created the 6 goal lead.
Give this man a cigar too , when he speaks, listen

YEAH, all media hates Richmond.
Yet, when he comes out next week and highlights a pair of terrible decisions against Dustin martin, you'll take it as gospel and use it as Exhibit A to bolster your case that the umpires have it in for us and have since 1980.
Like the swag of posters who post crap about 'Slobbo' or 'that Essendon d***' and then turn around when he writes a positive about Richmond and say 'I don't normally agree with Robbo but he's spot on the money on this one'.
Comical.
Ha that'll be the day when one eyed slobbo , roco or parrot post an unbiased informed article.
They make a mockery of being paid to post their reg drivel

to be fair Goldy in the dogs game and the freo game there were decisions paid by the controlling umpire who in both cases was 10 meters away were overulled by the bloke 70 meters away, and surprise surprise they both went against the tigers, whilst we are on it 50 meters for a bloke walking past is only paid one way and the distance of the 50 meters shouldn't be that hard given there a three 50 meter marks on the ground.

Think the game in general has been umpired very well .... in the spirit in which the game is intended. Let the play go a lot, which is good.
Agree it's in the spirit of the game but why not just abandon the handball rule for all

Of course they can , the afl wouldn't be able to find a hole big enough if we ran a tape of this seasons howlers
Think of the DVD sales

More inconsistent than the umps ;)

Watching tonight's game the dogs can handball over their heads with impunity, exquisite throws

Puts the clear Jack handball against the Doggies into perspective. It is fine for one team, but not the other. As soon as Jack handballs over his head it is a throw. Bont is the chief exponent of this "handball" method. Bet if he was wearing a RFC jumper he would be pinged every time.

Doggies enjoying their dream run of surplus free kicks - even in games they lose !

and just when we thought the message had got thru , they come up with another heist with cameron clearly running over the mark when dusty went to unload from outside 50 with only minutes remaining . how could that possibly be missed , the umpire was < 5m from the incident looking straight at it and NO play on called.
its like a copper standing out the front of a bank with 3 balaclava covered offenders with saw off shotties bolt straight past him and he didnt see a thing.

seems to me another umpire needs to be dumped and a second female debut next week , this kind of incompetence is unacceptable

I might be wrong here, but didn't Dusty run off the mark to the right? Ergo, play on.

I'm going off memory here and I've already tried scrubbing the game out like the last few weeks!

1. Robert Murphy on Friday night kicks the ball, yet is called holding the ball. Critical time of the game, Geelong pump the ball back inside 50 and score a goal.

2. Hawthorn player (Bruest?) doesn't get a 50m penalty after the Collingwood player tries to kick the ball back to him after a free kick and misses him by 10 metres. Would have resulted in a goal at a critical time of the match.

No one talks about these sorts of things, really. I mean, they do. But, it legitimately costs teams momentum at the very least and potentially the match.

Sick of it.

he was using the arc to roost the ball, the umpire failed to call play on
